Question about Jandy Aqualink - Rs32 One Touch Pool / Spa Combination Control System

1 Answer

Incorrect JVA settings

When the freeze protect is activated the system cycles to spa mode and then the spa drains to pool which then overflows. I believe my jva is assigned incorrectly and moves to spa drain when reading spa mode. I currently have set system to service mode and am running all pumps (4) to prevent freezing. My question is how do I verify and set jva to correct position?

I have consulted the manual for the one touch and it is not very specific as to the proper procedure. I believe I have the valves in the proper positions now and have the system in service mode so hopefully the valves will not rotate. What I need to know is to set them to stay where in the position they currently are in do I set it as pool mode? Then do I manually change them to say for instance to clean mode and then set the system? Does the system accept the current location as the default location for the mode that is being entered?

I have a Jandy 2440, water level decreases in spa mode

Probally your return JVA is not turning all the way. If it was going down fast that would mean not turning at all and you would probally need a new JVA. Not getting all the way around means the cam has probally slipped. If you have a book (more of a pamphlet) on the JVA it can walk you through adjusting the valve. It is worth it it comes with pictures.
Pull the handle and remove the top of the JVA by removing the six small screws. Once it is open than you can loosten the set nut on the shaft and adjust the valve to the full spa position. The cam on the shaft will need to be set so that the valve goes off when it reaches this position then you will need to tighten the set screw again. Run the valve a few times to be sure it stops when it should. If you have it set then go ahead and put the top back on. I hope this helps, good luck.

Pool will sporatically alternate between spa and pool mode. The JVA valves will at like they are confused and move back and forth even though the pool was completely off

You need to check and see how many different programs you have set in the control. If you change a program or add one the old one stays and will cycle and override any others that are in the system. You probally need to remove any old programs in the system. The valves running after the system is off is probally the system reseting. You would probally do best to clear the whole system and start new. Good luck.

JVA 2440 rotates continuously in spa mode

If you remove the handel and open thr top of the actuator you will see a set nut on the center of the shaft that you use to set where the valve stops. If this is tight then you may have a bad micro switch in the unit and you should replace the actuator. Good luck.

I do have a problem with Jandy Aqualink System

I would lower the freeze setting. It sound slike you are hovering around the temp set for freeze and that is why it is turning on/off. Go into the freeze mode settings and lower it as you would a heater setting.
