My PC on wireless keeps losing connection, over a distance of one floorb but the laptop on the same floor is ok, can I get a booster to improve the strength?

Che that the energy save settings are not enabled. If you are using Windows 7, in the advance energy settings menu, you'll find an option to disallow Windows turning of your USB devices to save energy, and another one related to the wireless conection. Hope it helps! Regards, MaTi_FLeSh

Nokia 6300 cannot receive configuraton settings only 70 sets can be saved find a solution

Hi sohail_srk20,

Each time you change the SIM card onto the phone, GPRS settings are automatically saved in the phone memory. Your phone can save only 70 sets of GPRS settings and the 70 empty lots are used now. So now when you change the SIM, you automatically receive settings, and they cant be saved because the GPRS settings memory is full. Hence you get the message.

Follow the steps below to remove the settings:
1) Go to MENU > SETTINGS > CONFIGURATION > DEFAULT CONFIGURATION SETTINGS.

2) You'll see the list of GPRS settings saved on your phone in this page.

3) Select each of the settings you want to remove by selecting OPTIONS > DELETE.

Next time you change back to another SIM card, the settings are saved in the empty lots you just created. Once they become full, the same message shows up again.

Why can't I get my ps3 to work on line if I have a wireless router?

This is because you will need to open the ports your PS3 uses on your router. This is done by logging into your router and saving open the ports your PS3 needs.
Hope this helps, if you need more info just post again!!

Intermittent internet disconnection, yet internet is fine

Please check the firmware of your router first. in most of the Wireless router the connection dropping issue is due to old firmware, also try chaning the wireless channel to 9 under the 2.4 GHz network to optimise the Wireless connection.

I have Verizon DSL service on my Westell 327w. It

whenever the connection drops, is the DSL light blinking?
because, it is just normal for the E1 light to blink, but the DSL light should be solid at all times.

It can be a possible issue with the cable or the LAN card, but you still need to have your line checked by Verizon to make sure that it is not a modem or a network issue.

Newest D Link 2310 Problem!!!!!

The Real Problem with this router is the Atheros chip inside overheating. The remedy is to install a heat-sink on the chip. Also, these routers have a history of the ethernet pins crossing and jumping into the wrong slots, examine the ethernet pins very carefully and attempt to straiten them.
To test my theory, Get a beer cap and take the plastic seal out of it so that it is bare aluminium on the inside of the cap, next put a drop of heat sink grease on the outside of the cap, (if you are too cheap to get some or are in a hurry, use a drop of toothpaste) then stick it on the atheros chip inside and fill the beer cap with vegetable oil, (Use vegetable oil instead of water because if you spill it on the main board, it will not cause damage.. IF YOU MUST USE WATER, be sure to NOT SPILL it on the board.)
After you have tested it and it works, Consider getting a small cpu heatsink, Should work fine without a fan.
Thanks
Vince

How can I place a password on my wireless router ?!?!

You can download a driver from this site, but you will have to register first. http://list.driverguide.com/list/company2072/index.html You may be able to get into the router via your internet explorer by typing 192.168.1.254, or simlair and enabling WEP and saving then re-starting router
