Question about Dell Inspiron 9300 Notebook
My audio-jacks on my Dell Ispiron 9300 notebook were damaged, so my CPU was muted. A friend of mine put in the Creative Audigy 2 Z5 soundblaster in the slot next to the jack so i could plug in headphones and regain the use of sound on my computer....I got a trojan virus and had some "professionals" remove all the poison from my hardrive, in the process of doing so, they had to reload and reboot my operating system (windows XP). I told them to save a few files, including my soundcard, which they failed to do. How do i get my cpu to recognize the driver so that i can once again regain sound?? I tried re-installing the soundblaster that didn"t work..I tried getting the driver off dell.com, to no avail... How can i configure this to work again???
Have you tried downloading it automatically? check the device manager right click and update driver don't forget to reboot? if your notebook is still under warranty check the condition if dell is going to replace parts or repair your computer for no cost.
