Hello Mike, Hi, may I suggest you try first to defrag your hard drive, Im sure when you power on your PC, the hard disk led keeps on blinking, your hard drive may have developed bad tracks and sectors, this slow moving process tends to go forever.

Defragmenting and checkdisk can find faults and bad sectors and tracks that slows down the performance of your PC.

Reformatting should be done if your defragmentation procedure fails to speed up your PC.

Try to run an antivirus program, which may help speed up your PC by detecting viruses, that tends to load forever, or slow down the booting process.

My comp is starting up inconrrect.


Most likely a Virus issue. I suggest this free online scanner. Do a full system scan. It may take a while,depending on the amount of data you have, but it should be worth it.
