Hello,

You need to check both the file size setting and the compression setting. The information is on page 38 of your user manual. Here's a link to an online copy of your camera manual - scroll down to page 38 for detailed instructions on how to access and change those settings. I don't want to confuse you by trying to type out the directions - the user manual has illustrations of the icons so it's better if you look up the instructions in your manual or the online version.

How do I stop the camera from having a double of every picture taken?

On my D-90, the camera is set by default to store two images of each picture I shoot...raw(NEF) and JPEG Fine.

The raw image contains far more data than the JPEG image and is therefore the best to use when you want to do extensive detailed editing.

The JPEG image is used when you only want to do minor editing before publishing or sharing the picture.

JPEG images deteriorate quickly when subjected to editing while RAW or NEF images can handle many more editing steps before losing quality.

If you're shooting snapshots, you probably don't really care about extensive editing and you can save a lot of space on your memory card by changing your menu settings to store only one image of each shot.

To do that, go to the wrench icon in the menu then scroll to image quality. Click on "image Quality" and you will find multiple lines to set the camera to your preference. Choose the one you want.

How do i change setting if i want image in 300 dpi ? camera canon sx130 .

You may not be able to change the image to 300 dpi, but you can change the image quality to S (small). Go to the camera's Menu and then to Image quality and select the lowest image quality setting.

Setting dpi on my nikon d3100

DPI (dots per inch) is an output specification and is irrelevant to the camera. The camera puts a value into the field simply because it has to put something there. The DPI is set by the printing program when it prints a picture. A picture printed at 4x6 will obviously have more dots per inch than the same picture printed at 8x10.

I have a JVC GZ-HD300 Hard disc video camera and when using Everio Mediabrowser which comes with the camera download to convert my videos the conversion leaves the finished video blurred

Hi.

If the original footage was sharp, that means that you are probably using wrong compression parameter or format on Everio, while doing conversion.

If the source movie was blurred instead, try using the Advanced Image Stabilisation option, usually available in new JVC HD camcorder menu.

Everio has different quality settings. Each time you increase compression you lower quality.

Also ensure that the camera was not in a low definition setting.

Regards.

Ginko.

Image Size
The image size and quality setting determines the number of photos that can be saved and the amount of
memory required for each photo. The higher the photo quality the more memory it will use up. The image size
and quality will also affect the maximum size you can print your photo effectively. To set the Image size:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Press Right/Left button to select the Image Size mode.

3. Press the Up/Down button to select the desired image size.
4. Press the Menu button to confirm, save and exit to standby mode.
If this still doesn't work, press the menu button twice.

Image quality when manually

High or Normal settings are selectable with the DiMAGE E201 for camera sensitivity. Normal is almost equivalent to ISO 85 and high is almost equivalent to ISO 340. High is useful under dark conditions as the flash range increases (0.6 to 5m), but noise increases with sensitivity as electric signal is more amplified, which may result in coarse image. Please select the rating that best suits your purpose.

Poor image quality

hotoPC 650 captures images in 24-bit color (16.7 million colors). Your pictures will not display maximum image quality if your monitor or computer's video controller doesn't support this color depth. Additionally, if your pictures are taken in 1154 x 864 mode, try increasing your video resolution above 640 x 480. You may need to upgrade your system to achieve the best possible image quality. If your pictures look better on the screen than when you print them out, you may need to upgrade your printer. An EPSON Stylus ink jet printer, for example, provides excellent image quality. If you used drag and drop to insert your pictures, they may appear grainy. Try importing them into your documents instead.
