I have the CD for my Epson C84, however, I cannot install it because my
compartment on my pc will not open in order for me to insert the CD to
install my CD. The printer was working and then my son went to go print
something off for school and it would not print. I was adivised to
uninstall the printer then reinstall it but my CD driver compartment
will not slide out in order for me to insert the CD. I want to install
the printer software online since I cannot manually do it with my CD.

Re: Printer stopped printing
Download the drivers from Epson's Website. You will eventually need to replace your CD drive or at least get it working - you could try inserting a straightened paper-clip into the manual eject hole in the front - Sometimes this will allow it to open normally for a period of time.

Found this on the Epson Web Site. You can download drivers here. Just click on link below. Follow the link and download the drivers. After downloading run the set up. then connect the printer. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.
Need to go to the website, and choose your OS. The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.
The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.
Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.
If you find this information helpful, pls rate me. Thanks and Good luck. .
If you are using a leopard operating system, you have to install easyprint. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=26322&prodoid=37368458&infoType=Downloads&platform=Macintosh, Trash / re-install epson print cd. There is a work around for that. Please contact epson.
Sorry but It uses Durabrite ink which tends to turn into hard gel if not printed
at least once a week. Its less painful and expensive to just
throw the printer out and buy a new one. I recommend the canon PIXMA
ip3500. It lets you remove the printhead for cleaning unlike the Epson.
If you want to try your luck at unclogging the printer heres a link to
a unclogging kit but be warned that results are not guaranteed!
The durabrite inks that EPSON invented is brilliant when you print pictures but it tends to harden very easily
Can you print something with a different program such a Microsoft Word? If you can then the problem is with LWORKS if not then the problem is with the printer driver. Please respond so I can help more.
Hi there HarryW - what is the "LWorks" program? Is it a Windows program - if so, you don't need a separate driver for it. All you need to ensure is that the printer is properly installed on your Toshiba as a Windows printer. If it isn't installed, just insert your Epson C84 CD and follow the instructions.
If any of the ink cartridges are needing to be replaced, the Epson C84 will not print, you will have to change the cartridge, if you lift up the printer lid the carrier will stop at the empty ink colour.
