It sounds like the rewind button on the bottom might be stuck. Refer to page 10 of the user guide and check it with a pencil tip to make sure its not stuck in the pressed position

Film rewinds when loaded

Align film leader at mark, then close the camera back for prewind loading. Film rewinds as each shot is exposed. Built-in motor for automatic winding/rewinding. Film advance: Automatic. Single-frame and continuous (1 fps). Automatically rewinds film leader into cartridge when designated number of frames have been exposed (midroll rewind available).

How do you take out a roll of film when your done? its an olympus 2000

First you have to rewind the film (some cameras rewind themselves automatically, but I don't think this is one of them). You do this with a little crank that unfolds from the top of the knob on the left of the camera's top plate (left as you hold the camera for shooting pics). You need to release the film first by pressing a recessed button on the bottom plate of the camera. Once the film is rewound into the canister, you open the door by pulling upwards on the little crank until the whole of the back of the camera opens up.

I am puzzled as to how you loaded the film in the first place without knowing that last bit.

Camera shoots all the film then rewinds.

Repair would be at least $139 from Blue Moon Camera. I would buy another MZ-50 (ZX-50 is the same) off eBay or you could buy a ZX-30 from Blue Moon Camera for $75 with 1 year warranty. They are professional.

How to load new film

push the rewind button on the bottom of the camera, then turn the rewind knob to the right to rewind any film that may be in the camera. Lift the rewind knob up to open the back door. remove the film canister if there.
on the new film canister pull enough film to reach the take up spool. attach the leader to the spool and close the back door, advance the film to counter number 1. enjoy.

Film won't advance. But does when the back is momentarily opened

Do you have fresh batteries in the camera. Batteries may be needed to set the exposure and trip the shutter. If the batteries are good, the back when closed may be jamming the film between the cassette and the body. Also make sure your fingers is not restricting the rewind knob on the left side of the camera.

To open the camera, you need to close the lens, then with the rewind mechanism, flip open the handle and lift the whole rewind mechanism and the handle and it will open the back of the camera. I hope this helps.

I cant seem to load film in my camera . it winds it back up as soon as i close it or try to take pictures

It's still in auto-rewind mode. Depending on the model, do a manual rewind with no film in the camera to reset the internal counter. Then load film and try it. Please leave feedback if this helps.

Nikon n75 problem loading film

I have (had) the same problem. I came onto this site to find out what I can do to fix it. It didn't help. I got pissed and almost threw the camera away. So I decided to get a little rough with the camera, (i normally wouldn't do this but i was going to throw it away).

I loaded the film like normal but before I closed the back I manually wound the film around the opposite spool. I guess I fooled the camera into thinking it had already wound the film.

When I closed the back of the camera everything worked fine.

I then snapped off the pics the camera said were left.

After this first role, I loaded the next role like normal. The camera worked like a charm!

By the way...the mirror dropped back down when I manually wound the film around the spool.

I hope this works...if it doesn't make any sense feel free to email me with any questions..

GOOD LUCK.

N75 will not load film

Quick solution: force a manual rewind.
1. Remove film
2. Close camera back.
3. With the power turned on, press the two rewind buttons together. They are marked in red.
4. The camera will make a rewind sound and will stop after about 2 seconds.
5. DO NOT fire the shutter yet.
6. Put the mode on Manual and select a fast shutter speed like 1/90 sec. Any aperture will do.
7. Load the film correctly as given in the user's manual.
8. As you close the camera back, the film will prewind to the end of roll. At the end of the roll pre-wind the LCD will show you the total number of frames available.
9. Select any shooting mode.
10. Go on and take pictures.

Hope this helps
