Are you sure you have put that "bar" included in the box above your tv in the middle, and fully wired? Because that is what you need to be able to have your cursor on your tv screen when your wii is on. Stupid or not, also make sure the batteries are put in it the right way, that you get blue light flashing out.
If you do not have a green light on duringthis malfuction ether the scart cable is not pluged in all the way or your system hard drive malfuctioned and thus did not boot the dashboard. I would call microsoft for a warrenty replacment at this point , Thanks
Try disconnecting your PS3 and then for 10 seconds if that doesn't work, disconnect all jackets meaning all usb connection ports connected in it. Remove them, then turn on your ps3 see what happens (without using the controller), then disconnect the ps3 cord that connects to your extension cord or jacket and plug it back in. Try it again. Then again with the controller could try.
Try disconnecting other ports such as other stuff like as listed, Irons,Fans, etc.
!!!!!!DON'T USE TOO MUCH POWER!!!!
You both sound like you have an over heating issue. Mostly if the fan does not stay on. The PS3 always has a fan on, just the first setting is very quiet. Do you feel any air being blown out of the back (where the power cord goes in)?
