Casio TK-2700 Wow! You are the first person I've found online that knows anything about the Casio TK2700.  Hopefully, this is an easy one....How do I clear the counts for each PLU button?  For example, I have a button for a small coffee, programmed for $1.45.  If I turn the key to X and hit that small coffee button, it'll tell me I've sold 16,902 for a total of $24507.90 since I guess whenever it was last reset.  How can I reset that count back to 0 and still retain the price information?

It worked!  You are my Cash Register Super Hero.  If I could afford it, I'd fly to New Zealand and hug you.  Put you'll have to settle for me watching reruns of Flight of the Conchords instead.  Thank you so much.

PS:  It turned out to be "14" as the number to reset the plu's.

Hi. Sorry, I've been busy. Just got back to your message.
If you want to reset all of the PLUs (quantity and amount) in the usual way, then you turn to Z mode, then type the PLU reset number. I can't remember which code it is. Try typing 12 then press CASH. If you get the wrong report, then type 13 then CASH and so on. I think it might be 15 CASH but it's been a while since I did them. When you see 'PLU' at the top of the report then you have the right one.
This won't affect your programming. It will just reset the sales totals for each PLU.

That's great. If you want to reset the rest of the function keys to see your payments etc, just press CASH on it's own.

TK2700 - How can I set the Z Read Number

That is exactly why they have the Z number, so you can't sneak Z reports to defraud the employer or the tax office. You can't change the Z number, sorry.

How do you back up the program on a TK2700 and send it down to a another identical machine?

Hahahahaha, sorry. I had to laugh. this machine is waaaay too old. There was an old DOS program back in the day that could sort of back these up but in all my years, I've never even seen it. You will need to print out the whole program (see prog 6 in the manual) and type it into the other machine. Otherwise, take it to a dealer. Don't forget to change the battery if it hasn't been done lately. This will prevent program loss.
