RCA P52939 rear projection TV

I have a P52939 rear projection TV and the picture rolls. I can not figure out how to stop it. I found a manual about rear projection TVs and it said to adust the internal convergence. I can not find it. I opened it up it does not have a board that has the vertical or horizontal controls. What can I do to fix this problem

Vertical sync is an IC function = shop repair = remove light box
and take it to a quality repair facility for an estimate = beware
of "Free Estimates" = pay for diagnosis, get it in writing.Mainly,
I'm finding bad solder connects in this style chassis, sometimes
I work on two or three at a time in my small repair shop........T.

3d like picture, from what I have found sounds like convergence issue, but our model RCA p52939 has no convergence settings that I can find

There is a small circuit board on the right hand side when you take the back off. This is the convergence power supply. If you know someone who can solder and desolder components they can change the chip and it should solve the problem. This is a STK ic chip mounted on a metal heatsink. If you have to call a repairman to do this a reasonable price would be 250 depending on the price of in-home visit. Fairly simple repair on this model. Good Luck, Russmann.

Does the Tv pick up a signal ? ( picture/sound ) If not, you may have a tuner problem as the screen will default to blue with no signal apparent. Could also be a cable problem. Hope this helps

RCA P52939 projection TV

Yes you are correct, no days these TV sets have an automatic vertical hoild, and no I am sorry to say, there is no adjustment for you to make. there is a problem in the PIcture in picture circuit if there is one or the sync sepaqrator circuit has a problem. most likely a bad capacitor or a bad diode. This is a solid state set and there are no user replaceable parts inside them unless you know how the circuits work and can trouble shoot printed circuit boards. You are best to call in a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck
