Hello Jodee,

In idle mode, press the Menu soft key.
Hightlight Settings and press Select.
Highlight Set Sound and press Select.
The following options are available:
Shop Tones
Default Ringtones
Downloaded Ringtones

Highlight Downloaded Ringtones and press Select.
Browse to the song you wish to use as the ringtone.

If this is what you have already done as described as "go into settings/profiles" - I was mistaken as to what you meant.
If this is different from what you have tried, please continue.

After going into Downloaded Ringtones you do not see the appropriate song, please respond saying so.

How was the song downloaded to the phone? Through the WAP browser which allows you to shop for ringtones?

Sorry, you need to enter Incoming Calls after entering Set Sounds to get the options for Downloaded Ringtones.

To purchase a ringtone for download,
you can navigate in idle mode, press Menu
    Highlight AT&T Mall and select.
Highlight Shop Tones and press the Connect key. From there you are able to find compatible ringtones to download and follow the on-screen instructions in order to purchase it.

The reason why this happens is because, iPhone only accepts .m4r file types as ringtones.

You don't really need to pay for ringtones anymore, jsut follow my instructions here in FixYa and you'll be making your own ringtones using your own songs from iTunes music library.

I bought samsung s3310 but my mobile is not connecting with pc by data cable. with mobile I haven't got any cd.

All you need to do is go to settings -> phone settings -> PC connections -> select mass storage and save......... Now when you connect the phone to your pc via the data cable, all the necessary installations of usb drivers and such things will complete automatically. You dont need to install any softwares manually. All the installation will occur instantly after you connect (setting of mass storage is very important). The Next Time you connect your mobile to your PC, the memory card on your phone will just act like a pen drive.................... ( I dot use any softwares like samsung pc studio or anything)

Unable to load a mp3 ringtone on my Omnia

You should have a USB cable that comes with the phone n the driver for your files transfer from PC to Phone [I hope you got that CD too]. Now first of all install that driver from the CD...when it asks connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable. Open up the File Manager,My Music or you can create a new folder n name it Ringtones n start transfering...it is very easy once u start doing it. Another method is...you do that via Bluetooth option...take ringtones or songs from somebody's phone. Let me know if there's any prob.
