Re: unable to install a song for the ringtone
In idle mode, press the Menu soft key. Hightlight Settings and press Select. Highlight Set Sound and press Select. The following options are available: Shop Tones Default Ringtones Downloaded Ringtones
Highlight Downloaded Ringtones and press Select. Browse to the song you wish to use as the ringtone.
If this is what you have already done as described as "go into settings/profiles" - I was mistaken as to what you meant. If this is different from what you have tried, please continue.
After going into Downloaded Ringtones you do not see the appropriate song, please respond saying so.
How was the song downloaded to the phone? Through the WAP browser which allows you to shop for ringtones?

If you want to unlock your Samsung A117 mobile phone from the network lock, you can get unlock code from Theunlockspot.com at reasonable price. Here they ask you to specify the country name, current network provider
and IMEI number of your mobile phone. After specifying these details, they
deliver an unlock code through email. Then you can unlock it using code
by following the instructions given for your mobile phone from that site

Hi gary468780 There are two ways by which you can change your samsung mobile phone ringtone . For changing ringtone of your cell use one of the following methods :1} Go to Music option from main menu then you will get music library files to play and listen music if you like any song then you can set it as your ring tone by selecting option menu and then select set as Ring tone 2} Go to setting option from main menu and then select profile setting and then edit the profile setting after editing profile you will get another menu from which select Vice call ringtone option and then change ring tone and save it
Could you tell me if there are any songs in your cell phone. If there are songs in it,you can set it.Find the songs you want to set as ringtones, then choose the option"transmit",and find the option"To the user profile".Just doing these, the setting is finished.
But if there aren't any songs in your cell phone, you may need download some. Then you can set it as the above.
And if you don't like the songs you have put them as ringtones, you can ...to get more information, you may visit our website:www.1010store.com
All you need to do is go to settings -> phone settings -> PC connections -> select mass storage and save......... Now when you connect the phone to your pc via the data cable, all the necessary installations of usb drivers and such things will complete automatically. You dont need to install any softwares manually. All the installation will occur instantly after you connect (setting of mass storage is very important). The Next Time you connect your mobile to your PC, the memory card on your phone will just act like a pen drive.................... ( I dot use any softwares like samsung pc studio or anything)
Best way I have found is to use explorer and browse into your mobile device and search for a folder called "volatile". I copied every wierd looking folder that started with XME or such. There were like 999 of them on my phone. Once they were removed, everything went back to normal!
Insert ANY unaccepted SIM card in the phone and then turn the phone on, follow the steps in 1 to 4 below to enter all the codes. The phone will states "Wrong card" at the end of step 2 and "network lock deactivated" at the end of step 4 if you do everything right so pls take your time to enter the code or follow the instruction correctly at each step. When entering some of the zeros at steps 3 and 4 your phone may display the zero as hyphen or minus (-), dont worry, just count when entering the zero to ensure you enter just the right numbers of zeros. Now let's begin...1/ Put any unaccepted SIM card in your SAMSUNG SGH Phone, turn the phone on, it will display "WRONG CARD"
2/ At the wrong card screen, type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
3/ Now remove the battery with the SIM card, Put the battery back and turn the phone on again without the SIM card, it will display "Insert SIM card"
4/ At the insert SIM card screen/end of step 3 above type #7465625*638*00000000#
At the end of step 4 phone will show "network lock deactivated"
5/ Now Reinsert your unaccepted card or any other unaccepted SIM card in the phone and enjoy your unlocked phone!
The problem is the LG600g uses .mid and .amr format files, so anything in mp3 won't play on it. This really should be noted on the website (tracfone or net10's), but its not.
Here are some instructions for making real music ringtones (though the quality isn't great): http://pbush14.wordpress.com/2008/09/07/create-free-ringtones-for-your-lg-600g/ So for cropping songs I recommend following their instructions and you can use the converter listed there or use this one http://www.miksoft.net/mobileAMRconverter.htm for a conversion that sounds a little better.
