Cylindrical barrels arethe same diameter along their entire length and tend to be long and thin. Theirslenderness makes them better for grouping but because they are long, the centerof gravity is further back.Ton shaped barrels arethin at either end but bulge in the middle an thing that makes them fatter thana cylindrical barrel of equivalent weight but the center of gravity is furtherforward and much easier to throw.

My unit will not turn on

what model do you have? do you have fresh air, 2.0 or 2.1? If you have Fresh air then it could be your starter, (its a barrel shaped item, you will see it when you take off cover) you can order on eBay, or find on internet, and Home Depot carries them, that's where I bought mine. If you have the other models, you can send it in to an internet company that does repairs.

I have a Remington rifle which is a 22 caliber octagon barrel rolling block type serial number J282433. Any info on this rifle would be appreciated.

Could use more info, such as markings on the barrel and or breach. The Remington rolling block type single shot goes back to the 1860'S. The first 22 calibers around 1888. The rolling block went through 8 changes. The different types or changes are where various pins and screws are located, size and shape of hammers and triggers. The New Model Number 4, made from 1890 - 1933 came standard in 22 cal. with a 22 1/2 inch Oct. barrel. It will have a small lever on the right side of the breach. Approx 50,000 of these where made between the years noted. You could very well have a model 1, 2 or a model 7, which will be rare if in very good shape as only 1000, No. 7's where made. Tracking the serial number will be hard unless you contact Remington.

Change the barrel on my pvc door lock

engineer has been the most helpful so far by the looks of it.....

Basically the same as he said..... Undo the screw inline with the barrel, there are very rarely any faceplates to take off on upvc doors!
Then put the key in, turn about 5-10 degrees either direction, pully at the same time, until the barrel slides out.
Measure from the centre of the screw hole to either end of the barrel (in mm), as both ends are not always the same length.
Then get to a LOCKSMITHS, it will be more likely that they will have the size you need and if they don't they can always get one next day delivery!!!
They start as little as £5 or 6, and go up to the mid £20, however the most common is around a tenner!
You will need to make a note of the shape of the cylinder, although 9/10 are euro shape (peardrop), there are odd doors fitted with oval and round (screw-in) shape cylinders!
Replacing it is just as simple.... turn the keys slightly, push the barrel through the door until it shows on the other side, then before trying to locate the screw hole, turn the key so that the bolt throws out about half way, that way there is no way that the cylinder can be out of position when you tighten up the screw again!

I need the name of the part that inserts in to the carb. It's in between the carb and the fuel line. It is a copper looking color and it is barrel shaped. Fuel passes through immediately before the fuel...

It's copper colored and about an inch thick and about 2 inches long. The fuel line clamps on one end and the other end screws into the carb, right? That's your fuel filter. Hope this helps.

How do you load crosman quest 1000. never owned a break barrel gun before

You load one pellet at a time when the barrel is broken open, the chamber is in the break of the barrel. One stroke, load, close, shoot, keeps you in shape. the old Sheridans, 10 pumps, really kept you in shape.

Need to adjust the burners the flames to high

Hello there:
Please follow these very easy steps and this should help you
Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Gas Ranges
  • Screwdriver Sets
  1. Step 1 Find the tube that feeds the burner. There's a burner air adjustment on it that mixes the air and gas.
  2. Step 2 Look to see what type of burner air adjustment you have: It will either be a barrel-shaped chamber or triangle-shaped with a cover plate.
  3. Step 3 Loosen the air-shutter screw on the barrel-shaped type. This screw is on the end of the barrel closest to the burner.
  4. Step 4 Open the shutter on the barrel-shaped type by turning it counterclockwise; close it by turning it clockwise. Opening it will add more air, which will make the flame higher; closing it will reduce the air in the mix and lower the flame.
  5. Step 5 Loosen the screw holding the plate on the triangle-shaped burner air adjustment. Don't remove the screw - it just needs to be loose enough to move the plate.
  6. Step 6 Move the plate so that the opening is either more open or more closed. More open will make the flame higher whereas more closed will lower the flame.
  7. Hope this is very helpful for you
  8. Best regards Michael
