Brookstone Wireless Outdoor Speaker with Bose 123 System Problem

I just purchased a Brookstone Wireless Outdoor Speaker. I can not get it to work with my Bose 123 System. The Bose system is different in how the speaker wires are connected to the subwoofer and one connection comes in for the left, right and subwoofer into the Bose amp/tuner. When I use my left and right RCA jacks to connect to the Bose amp, I try hooking to the left/right AUX output. No luck getting any sound to transmit to my wireless speaker. I am starting to think wireless speakers are not compatible to this Bose system. Has anyone else had this problem?

AUX usually refers to an INPUT, such as a CD player, etc. No signal comes out of a standard AUX jack, unless it specifically says "Aux speaker output". Instead, look for another speaker output jack, such as remote speaker, B speakers, etc. You may only have one set of speaker output jacks, in which case you would need to connect your wireless speaker to the speaker output jacks along with your main speakers, or buy a little speaker selector switch box to switch between main and wireless speakers. There's usually no harm in connecting more than one speaker set to the same outputs, though it is technically not recommended. In the real world, just don't crank it too loud and you'll be fine. The wireless speaker MIGHT run off of a standard line output also, if the wireless speaker has its own power amplifier.

We have 3indoor/outdoor speakers for deck-they are static

I would suggest moving them close to the base unit (if you havent already) to see if that improves the sound quality. If so, then you know you have some kind of interference in the area. Also, what output are you using from the BOSE? If you are using a headphone output or other variable output, you may be overloading the input circuit of the wireless base unit. Try turning down the volume on the BOSE or connecting to a different output.

Need longer ribbon speaker wire for Acoustimass 16

I have the same question. I just called Bose at 1-877-210-3782 (prompt 6) and they have two solutions:

1. 20 foot Input extension - $25
2. Input adaptor - $12 (you can run your own speaker cable to the input adaptor)

Can't get the bose cinemate to work all hooked up fine get static coming through them upon connection but then nothing????

Never buy a wireless speaker system! Too susceptible to interference, and the RF transmitter/receivers will drift off frequency in a short time, leaving you with perfectly good but useless speakers. If it's a used system, there's not much you can do. If new, of course you can take it back and get a REFUND - don't exchange them for another wireless system. Run wires, live with the mess and enjoy proper performance for years.

Do all speakers have fuses? I may have blown one of my Bose 151 outdoor speakers, but can't find a fuse inside.

Unfortunately many speakers do not have fuses. Most likely the voice coil has opened up inside the speaker itself. You can either get a replacement driver (speaker) or re-cone the one you have. In any case, the driver needs to be replaced.

You can verify this if you use an ohmmeter. With an 8 ohm impedence speaker, the reading should be about 6 ohms. If you read a higher number or infinity, the coil is bad.

Bose 123 Home Theater speakers started crackle sound?

If the wires are bare on some parts and touch eachother that will most likely be the cause.
