Did you format the hard drive or just install over the current one? If there was a virus or other infection, re installing without removing the problem will cause what you are describing. Do an Fdisk, followed by a formatt, Then you may reinstall the XP.

Ok fdisk just changes the partition, but you don't really need to worry about that. I am going to walk you thru a formatt and instal do you want to start tonight or wait until tomorrow. It's going to require some time. We will need to boot from the dvd rom drive using your operating system disk, do you have a disk with your vista on it?

Can i update the video card for hp a610n

Hi.

The HP Pavilion A610N was not designed for Win 7 Ultimate as it was only shipped with 512MB of RAM (memory) The Video card is integrated and only supports 64MB, you will have to purchase a AGP 8X video card to install.
Unless you have maxed your memory to 1GB then it could run Win 7 fairly well, If not i would go back to XP.

Regards.

To fix hpzjrd01.dll errors occurring due to corrupt or incomplete installation of HP printer software, uninstall your printer driver and reinstall it again.

To ensure the HP printer software is completely uninstalled from your system, we recommend you either use the built-in Add or Remove Programs utility or use the help of a third-party uninstaller, such as Perfect Uninstaller.

XP PAVILION XL753 SLOW PERFORMACE

Use your "accessories"click "system tools" click and then "disk cleanup" click and then clean your entire system using this. Then go to your control panel and go to add/delete programs and CAREFULLY decide if there are any of these programs you DO NOT use and clean them off. Furthermore if you have McCaffe Antivirus use system management to clean the registry. Then use your system tools again to "defragment" your system. A computer shop charges $$ to do these things you just need to do them periodically yourself to keep your system "clean" and fit. Hope this helps!

Desktop HP Pavilion XL753 Very slow performace- including when im not even online. How can i fix it?

A couple of things that might help come to mind.
First, you may just have a lot of crud that has collected over time. Go to your control panel and select "Internet Options" Under the temporary files, click on the "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files" buttons. When you click on the delete files, you are given an option to check a box to delete all offline content. Make sure to click on that. Below those options there is a "Delete History button and you should click on that. This is some basic house cleaning routine that you should do a couple of times a month if you are online a lot.
Next, you might want to go online and download a copy of AVG and a copy of Ad-Aware. These are a couple of real good anti virus programs that are free and will dig out problems that many of the paid for programs (Like Norton and McAfee) won't find.
Hope these tips help solve your problems.

Have a good day!
Ron
