Had the exact same problem, after my projector was powered off upruptly.
Turnedout all I had to do was push down slightly on the tempreturesensor/fuse (is opens the power circut if the projector gets too hot,and thus doesnt allow any current)
Here is the full repair/service schematic for the projector. It should help you locate the sensor.
Good luck

Is the fan in your projector still working in high speed or not spining?

Usually projector have like three to four different fans, there are two fans that you can see it and there are two more fans that you can't see it like near the lamp location. The fan usually increase their spinning speed according to how hot it gets. If that pass with out a problem, then you might have Thermistor failure that will cause the unit to trigger shut down after 30 minutes.

If you have some test equipment like DMM, or VOM meters you can troubleshoot it yourself, but it involved with removing a lot of screws and more details on how to fix it correctly. I can teach you how to fix it in step by step if you want to learn it. But you need to make sure where to get replacement parts to get it to work correctly.

mine is sanyo pro XtraX multiverse all the 3 fans are working but heats badly and turns off after 5mins

Sanyo Pro XtraX multiverse heats badly and turns off after 5 minutes. Have you tried to remove the dust from the fan and from the projector light area. Some projector also use filter where the fan is at. It might be clogged too.

Projector will only stay on for a couple of minutes then shuts off automatically. the LED turns from green to red

Make sure the venting for the cooling fan is clear and that it is activating. The only time I have seen this in a projector is when it overheats. If it reaches a certain temperature and doesn't sense the cooling fan being on it shuts down to protect the bulb and protect against fire hazard.

Shuts off after approximately 2 minutes

I have exact same problem. According to the manual its time to replace the bulb. But when I check the runtime on the bulb it shows 326 H. I am not certain if this is the remaing hours on the bulb or the usage to date hours.

I would appreciate anyone commenting and recommending a solution.

if the lamp lights and then shuts down, replace the lamp. it's at the end of it's life. to rule out overheating, blow the projector out with canned air. dust retains the heat that the projector is trying to expell. also see if all of the fans are working. if you do get an image for a short time, try to get into the menu to reset the settings to factory default. lastly, if all else fails, you have a ballast issue. unfortunately, infocus no longer sells parts for this model.

It sounds like it is overheating. Are the fans all working? If so, try opening the casing and blowing all the dust out with a can of air from Staples/Office Depot. If the fans aren't working you may need to replace them.

Clean your air filters. The unit will shut down if it overheats. Ensure that all the filters are cleaned and replaced regularly.

Projector restarts after 30 minutes or so

Hi jamble77

This sounds like a faulty Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) if it made a grinding noise and now the Projector shuts on and off intermittently.

I would advise you to rather have the part replaced than repaired , as in most cases the Ballast almost always returns with the same problem if repaired a couple of months down the line.
