All Panasonic home theater systems include magnetically shielded speakers, which prevent the magnets inside the speakers from interfering with your TV's picture. Feel free to put the center channel speaker on top of your TV and the left/right speakers close by. It won't cause any problems.

General placement for the front speakers is to the Center Unit speaker in the center (ok, that was obvious). Either above or below the viewing screen. If you place it on the TV you could get some vibration noise and it may disrupt the picture. For the Left and Right Front speakers, again the general rule is from the center Seating position approx. 60 deg. spread. Meaning, from where you sit facing the screen, approx 60 deg from left to right is good placement. If I lost everyone, check out the owners manual for suggested placement with a diagram.
