This problem happens quite regularly as the valve will reduce the pressure but sometimes it will reduce too much, you can adjust it up, but you havent mentioned which type of shower valve it serves?
as the shower may not be suitable for the plumbing supplies it connects too , & how they are installed?
i am thinking its from the cold water main & that the valve requires storage feed instead of incoming water main supply? possibly thats why you installed a reducing valve??

Let me know?

Kindly

Richie

Is the hot water pressure good at other fixtures in the house? I'm guessing your newer valves have a scolding adjustment that is set very low. Check the instructions that came with the valve assembly.

Take the shower head off and see if the pressure is better or the same. If it is the same then you will need too look up-stream for blockage in the water lines. If it is better then replace or clean out the holes in the shower head. It may also have a filter screen before the shower head.

There is a California water saver on it that can be removed, just a little piece of plastic that covers the opening. Why do you have low pressure? Are you on city water? Well? Jet pump? Turn up the pressure cut off. Check it out.

Mira mixer cannot balance temp.either scalding hot or freezing cold

I suspect you have gravity fed hot water system and the mixer cannot balance the high pressure of the cold mains against the low pressure of the hot water.
Either install a shower pump. Means installing electrical connections and quite a bit of plumbing
Or a mechanical pressure reduction valve on the cold input pipe to the shower

Low water pressure. New installation, replacement

The posi temp valve has a little system built inside to anti scald you when your taking a shower, they have little parts that move back and forth, they get easily clogged from sediment and minerals in the water and always get stirred up when the water is turned off and back on from doing work.

Low water pressure

When it was installed was there any copper sweating done? If so, the valve cartridge can get fried if not removed prior to the immense heat from a torch.

Installed a new oak brook collection tub and shower faucet and no water comes out.

You may have to disassymble the faucet to see if there is something that is stuck in there or that the assymbly internally is stuck in the closed position.

Moen single handle valve tub/shower

The Moen Posi-Temp Valve is a pressure balanced valve and when not used for long periods of time they can stick causing only cold or hot water to pass through the valve.
A New Posi-temp cartridges can be purchased at most plumbing supply houses or big box outlets such as Lowes or Home Depot.
As long as you had cold water before, a new cartridge will solve the problem. In the future it would be wise to occassionally operate the valve at least a couple of times a month in order to keep the pressure assembly from becoming lodged in position. Just follow the instructions included with the new cartridge on the proper removal of the old cartridge and the installation of the new cartridge. a little silicone grease inside of the valve before installing the new cartridge will also help.
Be sure that there is no particles of the old cartridge left in the valve.
