Screen will not power on

My screen has suddenly stopped working. Tried unplugging to reset..will go into standby mode orange. As soon as power button is pressed or if computer is turned on, the screen flickers quickly white then black and all power appears to disappear. Disconnected from computer and same problem happens just standing alone.

I have a Neovo F217 about 4-5 years old. Any ideas?

When I power the monitor on the led turns green and the screenilluminates and then quickly goes dark, but right before it goes dark Isee a 1" spectrum of many colors running vertically. then the led goesto yellow. I have opened it up checked the board connections and seenothing burned or discolored. when I power it on with the back open Ican see that the backlights are still illuminating for 3 seconds beforeit turns off. I have tried it on several computersusing both the VGA and the DVI connection with multiple differentcables. This happened over the weekend and none of the other computershad any problems so I do not know if this might have been a powersurge. Does anyone have any Ideas what might need to be fixed orreplaced?

How do I turn off the Samsung sync-master p2050 monitor?

If it doesn't turn off by holding the power button down for 10 seconds, then it cannot be turned off by the power button alone, like most modern lcd monitors. Most modern monitors goes into standby mode. To completely cut power, you must unplug the power cable.
I've enclosed a link to the install manual for reference.

My hp w1907 monitor has suddenly stopped working!!as soon as i turn on the tower it just displays"monitor is going to sleep"PLEASE HELP!!!

I love this one. I've actually done this many times before and have been successful.

1. Turn the computer off and unplug the power cord from the back of the tower.

2. Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds while the computer is unplugged (this drains the remaining power from the capacitors on the motherboard).

3. Plug the computer back in and turn it on.

If that does not work, follow steps 1 and 2 again, but this time:

3. Open the computer while it is unplugged and unplug the power supply from the motherboard then hold down the power button again for 3 seconds. (You may also want to take the RAM out and put in back in)

4. Plug everything back in and turn the computer on.

Monitor led light goes from green to orange will not respond

Your video card or on-board video is kaput. If it worked fine on the other system, but not working on this one ... then you've blow the video.

One note: When the computer is ON, do NOT unplug and re-plug in the monitor. You'll blow the video card.

Luckily, add-on video cards are cheap and readily available ...

Monitor lives its own life ;) Turnes off and on in random moments

It sounds like there's a problem in the power supply or inverter section and it's just teetering on the edge of failure. The disruption of the signal is apparently just enough to kick it over the cliff until it's reset. Sooner or later, it'll need some help, like connections, capacitors, output transistors, capacitors, transformers. Those are the most common failures in these. I think you'll see it get worse

It sounds like this one needs component-level troubleshooting, probably in the power supply section.
