Scrambling for first 15 mins

Hey, About a month ago i started noticing that when i turned my tv and was watching tv through my cable box it was scrambling at the top of the screen, but after about 2 mins it would clear up and be just fine. Now its 10 times worse and the whole screen is scrambled and has lines all over, but now it takes about 20 mins to clear up and it doesnt even clear up all the way.

Re: Scrambling for first 15 mins

That is the exact problem I am currently having with my toshiba 50 in. I did some reading and it sounds like there is a temperature drift across one of the capacitors on the board and it takes longer and longer to warm up. Havent fixed it yet...

Sony videoscope xbr

would think you need to replace the cable board etc. the signal is not getting in and out right. can also be a fault on the power board giving the wrong volts so would check this to. it will tell you on the board what volts is supposed to be. the 5v and 12v should be spot on other volts will vary a little. also check the capacitors for the caps to be bowed up and a brown/ yellow gunk around them and under the board this can be a sign they are failing.

Can watch dvds but no picture on cable input I get the sound but just black works great on all other inputs

If all other devices work with the tv.It ur cable box, unplug it,replug it an hour later.Than wait about 10-15 mins let the software update for the cable box. This should work, not call the cable company explain it to them to send u a new box.

Flashing in Blk,Wht, and a little color

Sounds like maybe your color wheel needs to be replaced. If you have noticed a humming noise in conjunction with the intermittent colors, then that is most likely the issue.
My 51" Vivitek started to hum loudly about 2 months ago and I kind of ignored it ,but it got so loud and annoying I had to do something.First changed the bulb and then bought a color wheel at .Login as guest and then enter your model number into corresponding box. They have a few Vivitek parts.
I replaced my color wheel myself and it works great!
I'd be happy to help any way I can.
Good luck!

The color is not working properly on the TV. The red is off.

In discussing with Mitsubishi they had me trouble shoot the cable input line and determined that the color would work in the antenna A and B ports. Mitsubishi believes the scrambling of the cable box is cauing the problem with the normal hook up but I would need to discuss with the cable company. At least I know the color is working properly on the TV.

After attaching a freeview box to my Acoustic Solutions LCD32NK750HD 32" inch LCD HD TV the picture started to scramble and **** about the screen, this would stop when I turn the TV off and back on...

How have you got freeveiw connected to your set and what input are you using?
when connecting the freeveiw unit to the tv did you have the power connected and turned on to either tv or freeveiw?
how many sets are connected to the freeveiw unit,
All these things can affect this equation,

it sounds like the set had a power surge from the plugging in of the freeview,
the f connection output from the freeveiw set has a live voltage feed that powers either the mast head amp or the balun in the center of the dish,
for these to work correctly the cable between the freeveiw and the aerial/dish needs power,
this annoying little fault can only be remedied by taking it to the repair man,

Let us know the outcome thanks ,
hope this helps,
