Question about HP Color LaserJet 3500 Printer
I replaced the transfer roller and the fuser in an HP LaserJet 1200 printer and it shows a flashing orange light. Before I replaced any of these things, it still had that flashing orange light. There is no paper in it, no paper jam, i tried two other toner cartridges and still same orange blinking light. I turn it off and turn it back on it goes through the check through then stops and orange light comes on. What else could I check? Remember, it did this even BEFORE i replaced the transfer roller and fuser assembly. Please help!
Hi vgde2004: Here are some things to check.
1. The printer is in manual feed mode.
Possible solution: Change the manual feed setting in "printer properties"
2. The door is open, the media is out,the toner cartridge is installed incorrectly,or the paper is jammed. Check paper path.
1. Check fan cables for looseness.
2. Replace fan assembly
