Question about ViewSonic N4251w 42 in. LCD Television

2 Answers

This is for a Model N4251w. There is a streak in the picture that is not on the surface. It looks like apaint brush made a streak of approximately 8 inches and 1 .5 inches looks like a paint brush mark. Any suggestions. It's not under warranty.

I just answeres the same question, it's the screen burnt in from something being on too long, or it could also be the T.V. being so old that the plasma gases aren't controlled anymore. They run off of gases, so either it's burnt or the gases are bad.

Cannon D1150 I have a crease down the middle of the page as well as faint black ink. How do I correct this. this happens on envelopes as well.

this sounds to me as toner cartridge fault.
Remove the crg and look at drum surface for streaks. If the streaks are on drum surface, replace drum ( toner ) cartridge if not the problem is in fixing assy.

Hope that helps!

Blue Streak at bottom on LCD TV screen

Most likely being your television being on something too long and now it's burnt in, you can leave a non-moving object on your T.V. too long, the channel icons are okay because of the commercials. There's really nothing you can do now.

Finish on "stainless steel" door is deteriorating

Refrigerator was sold as 'stainless steel', but is not, a magnet won't stick to it.
There are many different alloys that are called 'stainless' steel but all of them have some chrome, some nickel and some steel. Depending on the strength of the magnet and the specific alloy, it may or may not adhere. Generally, the higher chrome and nickel content, the less magnetic it will be.
I think that the brushed surface of your fridge was coated with a kind of clear-coat to prevent fingerprints from adhereing to the brushed surface and that clear-coat is now missing in the areas of concern.
The only cure for tha would be the wholesale removal of the doors and the remaining clear finish and then respraying it with a quality clear finsh.
Ain't progress grand?
We considered all stainless stuff for our new home a couple of years ago, decided we liked black better and now hate that too.

Blue Streaks

Try removing the printhead (cartridges first, careful where you put them, they'll make a mess) then clean the print surface with a window cleaner and cotton swabs.
There may just be deposits on the surface and this is not far from the paper surface.

Black streaks on printout page

It sounds like excess toner has built up in or around the imaging drum. I would *carefully* remove the toner and drum (can be messy) and use some canned air to clean the inside out. If you are still getting these streaks, it might be time to get a new drum (DR 400) as you are supposed to replace the drum every 6 to 8 times you change the toner cartridge.
