Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
I just got a new computer a week ago. It was working fine for three days then all of a sudden the monitor went to sleep while I was playing World of Warcraft. I let it sit and started it back up and it worked for about 10 min then the same problem occured. I always have to let it sit for about 10 min before i can try getting it going again. Now its to the point of going to sleep when im just at my desktop. Also, when this does happen the computar sound freezes and it loops the same part over and over. So, I think the computer is also freezing, I'm clueless as to what to do so any suggestions.
Sounds like it may be a backlight issue. Try using another monitor if possible and see if the same issue occurs. If it does, then it's the backlight in the monitor. If it's not this, it could be as bibleman01 mentioned a software conflict or an issue with the graphics controller failing.
