I've searched the boards but have not been able to fix the problem.

I have a Linksys WRT150N router and using dd-wrt firmware. I am having intermittent problems with my pc connected to the router via ethernet cable. Sometimes the internet connection flies, sometimes it drags and takes a while. The same problem occurs with Microsoft outlook in opening email. Other programsd not accessing the internet are fine.

I am running Windows XP and am using Avast antivirus and Zonealarm firewall.

When disconnect from the router (coming straight from the Optimum cable modem), everything flies.

First off thanks for using

Second, I too am a dd-wrt user and found a similar problem when using dd-wrt with my IPCOP. You may want to go into the "Security" section of your dd-wrt and disable any fire walling or access-restrictions. Since you are already running zonealarm. Or remove zonealarm if you plan to use dd-wrt as your firewall.

Running multiple firewalls will slow down your network/Internet traffic.

Hope this helps you out.

After spending a couple hours searching I haven't found anyone with a similar problem, so I hope someone here can help. I have an old RM 2807 that I have been restoring. I've managed to get...

This is a common problem with the OEM control boards. I replace the RM2807 control boards with the new "Dinosaur P-711 control boards which are quality made and will hold up in the long run. Here is a link to the control board you need.

Nokia 6600 keypad/key problem! I hope I've put this in the right section, as I'm not sure if this is a hardware of software problem I've posted it here, hope I'm right! icon_razz.gif

I bought a Nokia 6600 recently with a joystick that didn't go down. I replaced the keypad pcb, as there was a small tear in the ribbon at the bottom of the old keypad PCB. This fixed the joystick problem, but I now realise there is another problem with the phone!

The numbers 7,8, and 9 all display 1,2, and 3 when you press them. The '0' key seems to clear whatever's on the screen, so I suspect it's acting like the red end call key. It does this with both keypad PCBs installed, so I think it's another problem. Would this be the small gold contacts on the bottom of the phone, a software problem, or some other gremlin in the works?

I've had a quick search and someone suggested *#7370# to reset the phone, and someone else said it could be a keypad IC that's gone - any other suggestions? I'm at work tonight so can't get to the phone until tomorrow morning, and as the '0' key isn't working properly I can't check which software version the phone is running icon_frown.gif

10 blinking lights on panasonic how much is the part to fix this

I also have had this problem with my TV. 10 blinking lights is an indication of a bad video board according to Panasonic. The first thing that you are going to want to do is unplug the TV for a couple of minutes and replug it. Hold done the power button for 10 seconds and release. Press the power button again. If it turns on, great, your problem is free to fix. Panasonics have had a problem with the HDMI inputs. Make sure that all of these are unplugged before resetting the TV. Search other threads on this site for more info. My TV did not work after that I have ordered the part and will replace that board when it comes in. The board itself I found on refurbished and was around $65 to my door. One of the main problems with these TVs seems to be the power supply board. Others on this board swear up and down that any indicator lights signifies a bad power supply board. I do not know if this is accurate. Someone I talked to said that they also replaced the video board when the 10 blinking lights were going and that it seemed to fix the problem. Another person that I talked to said that the bad video board was caused by the by the shoddy power supply and that he had to replace both boards. Either way, on EBAY, I have seen refurbished power supply boards going for $109. The two boards and about 1-2 hours of your time is $175...still a lot cheaper than the $450 estimate that I got. I think that I am going to try and replace the video board first. If that still doesn't correct the problem, I am going to try replacing the power supply. Either way, hopefully this helps you. I am not a professional, just someone that has done a lot of personal research on trying to fix their TV at a reasonable price. Also, search some of the threads on this website. If it is a power supply board, chances are that you will have some blown caps on the board itself...I unfortunately didn't. If you know how to solder, you might be able to get it done for substantially less than the price that I gave you. I would at least call Panasonic and try to milk as much info out of them as you can. The person you talk to is not going to have a clue what you are talking about, but he was able to transfer me to someone that was able to classify problems based on the number of blinks. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you'll be able to get this up and running soon. Like I said, I am by no means a professional TV repair man, but based on the research that I have done, these two issues seem to be the most prevalent with both of our current situation.

I have a Polaroid TDA 03211C 32inch LCD TV /DVD COMBO screen went black cant get screen to work, sound works

It has 2 blown capacitors in it. Mine had the same problem. The capacitors are located at EC17 & EC18 on the top circuit board inside the tv. They cost about 1.00 a piece. You can get them at It is very easy to take the board out and have someone soldier the new ones in and then put it back together. You can fix it for about 40.00. Hope this helps. Do a search on line of what the capacitors look like........

Radio plays upon startup but withing minutes message says searching for signal then antenna not found. replace antenna?

No, it's the Sirius Tuner. If it's 2 or so years old, there's a bad ground on the antenna port pc board. If your tuner is roughly 6"x6"x1" it's the one. The new tuners will not have this issue and are considerably better built. (DEI) is the manufacturer of the new unit. If you don't mind rebuilt, you can save 40 or 50 on a repaired tuner. The repaired tuners are very reliable since they upgraded the board with one that's durable. Hope this helps
