The door is locked shut and the power will not go on

I loaded my machine with a pretty full load and I turned it on and went out shopping. When I came back, the power was off (no lights on) and the door is locked shut. I unplugged the machine and waited a while then plugged it back in and nothing changed. Please help...!

    no I have not. In reviewing the other posts I found some similar situations, but nothing exactly the same. I am going to go home and try to unplug the machine for 15 minutes or more then plug back in to see if it resets. Do you have any other suggestions?

    It is a kenmore he2 front loader. Do you need an additional model number...I will have to look and get back to you. It is about 2 years old.

Now that you have plugged it back in, do any of the lights come on, any power? Or does the door just not open? thanks

This is a common problem with a momentary power failure, the controller doesn't get time to reset and return to an idle state before the machine gets power back and it gets "confused". You will almost certainly find that unplugging from the mains (Not just powering off on the button, as some door locks have a sneak circuit, even when the power is turned off at the button) and leaving the machine undisturbed for a full 20 minutes will allow a reset, the door lock will disengage and all will be well when you power back up.

Door is locked, no power to on off switch
if there is still water in the tub.then you can use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to then end of the drain hose and remove all the water,once the water is removed the door should unlock after you turn it back on.then you can check the drain pump for obstructions.
have you checked the power coming off the board to the switch

Washing machine will not turn on it shut off
Have you tried unplugging the unit and waiting for a minute and then plug it back in. The load might have been off balance and caused that condition. Once it has been reset you might be able top end the cycle.

Hotpoint WMA33 washer - door won't open
Problem seems to have corrected itself! I tried another slow spin cycle, waited a reasonable interval for the Door Locked light to go off, then when it didn't I switched the power to the machine off. I tried squeezing the door catch a few times and pressing the door downwards, then left it. Some time later when I went into the kitchen the door was open. I washed a small load this morning and the machine worked normally. Fingers crossed, it's ok now.

The control lock light is on
there is a button on the far rt of the face of the machine...you hold that button down. the button is called end of cycle signal.

Hi I have a Samsund Washing Machine SW65ASP2 triflow and i put a load on and it went find. Went to do another load and it came up with Code DE
DE is a door lock error it could be the door hasn't been shut firm enough or the door lock may have failed. Sometimes the pin that goes through the handle and ****** comes lose the door would have to be taken apart to check for that and in some rare cases the main module can be faulty.

Door clicks and wont open and washer runs but wont do anything
Potential reasons for it: - Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure - In this case it should be replaced. - Door Lock unit is broken or removed from the door. - Look for disconnected wires to the door Lock/Switch unit. - Door Lock/Switch unit Failure You should remove machine's top cover and then you will have an access to the door lock unit. Be aware you should discconect machine's power cable first !! Good luck!
