Question about Electronics - Others

How to load the film

My 93yr old father-in-law recently passed away; He left a box full of movies that he used to show on the Bell projector, (Bell&Howell Autoload 245 8mm) about 130 of them. Most have nothing but woods or rivers. It costs a fortune to have the film converted as I just paid $120 for 2 reels full of nothing but woods in Michigan and N. carolina

I would like to see what's on the reels before I take them to a shop again, but have no idea how to load the film in the projector. I have no use for this worthless thing besides casting away the useless reels so would rather not pay scalpinng prices to Ebay people who claim to sell the manual but won't guarantee that it has ''the film loading procedure''.

Any help with the film loading sequence possible?

Thanks

How do transfer 8mm film to dvd yourself?

If you have time, you would project your film onto a screen, and use a video camera to capture the show. Likely, you will get rather poor quality.
When professionally done, each frame is captured separately and made into a video. Better quality, but it takes a bunch of equipment that's expensive.

My father-in-law passed away and has a Konica Autoreflex TC with an additional Vivitar lens. it is in excellent shape.\r\nhow do I sell it and what is it worth? Thank you. Warren

Recent resale activity shows the camera with a single lens going for between $40 and $55. The additional lens will add $10 to $15 to the value.

I have a bell and howell lumina 1.2 projector. the motor and belts are all in good condition, however the movie wont catch on the prongs that move the movie through the projector.

Push down the clear plastic cover through which you can see the pronged wheel. That pushes the film against the prongs, and it should then load

I have an old Bell & Howell projector and I can't find how to remove/replace the bulb. It is a Regent 8mm Deisgn 122. Any help would be apprecited.

These guys obviously have something to sell. PLEASE DON'T THROW YOUR MOVIE PROJECTORS AWAY. DVD-R has a useful life of about 5 years at best.

To answer the question posted: As the bulb ages, the extreme heat causes a bulge in the glass and that's why the bulb won't slide down. The only option is to tap the top of the bulb with a screwdriver (or similar instrument) and shatter it--then unscrew the housing and let the mess fall out. Be sure to protect yourself from shards! Once you clean up the mess you can install a new bulb (DAR, I believe).

Once you see the rich gradations color of real film (even 50 year old film), you'll be hooked!
