The problem could be one of two issues.
1. The DNS setting is incorrect on your WiFi Router or device you are connecting with.
To change this I suggest you contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and let them talk you through the steps.
2. the Firewall on you WiFi Router is on and blocking access. Log on to the router with admin, and switch the firewall off.
The previous answers get you to the point where you can log into your router using the IP address of the default gateway. You will, of course, need the proper credentials (username/password). What you want to do is change the wireless channel. Most modern routers/gateways default to "auto," which means they can change channels at will. I prefer to fix my routers to a specific channel, based on some analysis. For this, I use an app called WiFi Analyzer, which is a free download from the Google Store. If you have an Apple device you're out-of-luck, as Apple will not allow your phone to determine the signal strength of nearby WiFi devices. The WiFi Analyzer app provides various representations of the signal strength of all channels on your router. Simply choose the best channel and set your router to use that channel.
First off, verify that you can connect to your cable modem directly. After that, hook up your Dynex wireless router and reboot your cable modem. After this, directly connect your computer to the Dynex router (using a cable). If you cannot get an Internet connection, then there is some issue with your Dynex router configuration. It's possible that there might be an IP address conflict with the cable modem. It would be best to contact support for configuring the Dynex.
If you can connect to the Internet with your computer connected directly to the Dynex router, then there must be some router configuration problem affecting your ability to connect wirelessly. You'll have to check the configuration--might be a good idea to completely reset the router and start over. If that doesn't help, you should contact Dynex customer support, as each router has its own configuration specifics. Good luck.
If your trying to use this to share an internet connection.. sorry to say but it's not going to happen. The hub that you purchased will not handle the DHCP settings that need to be processed to share an internet connection.
Best advice... go back to Best Buy and smack the agent that sold you this and get a router instead. :D That's what you're needing to share your connection.
Windows WiFi Fix, Windows Zero Wireless Configuration is one of the best programs to run a WiFi in Windows XP or Vista. Most of the other software packages that come with the different adapters have been poor at best in keeping a connection through Windows. Here is the best guide to get you back up and connected. Windows XP: Click Start Right click on My Computer When a window pops up click on properties Click on the Hardware tab Click Device Manager Click the [+] next to Network Adapters Find your wireless card and right click on it. Click Disable Windows may warn you that disabling the device may make it stop functioning. Continue disabling the device. Wait 30 seconds or so. Right click on your wireless again and click Enable. Exit the device manager. Reconnect to your router. You should now be able to connect to the internet.

The enhaced version just give more range of signal over the normal dynex, regarding the internet provider it depends because sometimes you'll need a password and user to connect to the wireless signal. The dynex is used to connect from a cable signal (RJ-45)internet and then it will transfer the connection to wireless so it can be use from any laptop with wireless connection. So for example you DSL internet connection is a cable (RJ-45) then you connect that cable to the dynex router, then the router will automatically transmit the signal to wireless so any nearby pc can connect to it. If the laptop doesn't have wireless, then you'll have to buy a card to be able to connect to wireless signal or you could by also a (RJ-45 straight-through
cable Cat 5e) to connect from one of the ports from the DYNEX to the laptop. Hope it helps.
Solution #1 is always what apple agent do with iPhone and iPod touch calls. If that doesn't work they always recommend calling your ISP ( internet service provider ) however; you can actually do this yourself.
This may work but simply restart your router. Unplug your wireless G or B router from the wall. Wireless N routers will not work and are not compatible with both of these devices. Even though your computer may be working fine. The iPhone and iPod touches are not compatible with wireless N routers.
After disconnect the wireless router from the wall. Leave it unplugged for 5min or more, then re-connect it. This is called resetting your router.
After resetting your router turn your wi-fi off on your device and turn it back on and you should have some luck. If asks for password. enter in your password to join.
