Question about Apple iMac 24" Desktop
When I am in the pc mode and I open Pal Talk to have a discussion with some friends, the isight works (but a bit dark) but the voice communications does not work - my speech come out low and grabled. Is there something that I can do to correct this so that I can use my internal mike???
Hi again. Sorry it's been a while for me to get back to you. Work!
In windows, on the bottom right there is a red speaker icon. Double click it. In the window that appears click the tab labeled 'Mixer' There you can choose the input source - Line, Mic, etc - Choose Mic by clicking the little dot to the bottom right of the fader. Now set the input volume of the mic to about 1 (if the scale was 1 to 10). That should be about right but you can leave it up and adjust to suit.
The video settings you can only adjust using whatever software is using it.
There's loads more you can do with your audio from that mixer controller. I'd recommend just playing with it to find out what you can do. Have a play, you're not gonna do any permanent damage.
All the best

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
