Is there anyone who can help with this?

Already posted about the paper jam that really wasn't a paper jam 'cause I took the paper out; cancelled the print job and pushed all the buttons on the printer. It finally shut off, but when I went to print the documement again, I had to manually turn the printer on and it still didn't print.

Just follow the set of procedures HP recommends for clearing a paper jam, and it should work again. They have some documentation and videos online, here is one of them

SOURCE: False Paper Jam Error

Make sure the paper tray guides are set against the paper more likely to be the back guide not pushing the paper to the front of the tray. If you have the guides set correctly then place one sheet of paper in the tray and blot some methylated spirits on the leading edge along the page width and close the tray and try printing something.

You will have a jam repeat process 3 or 4 times then open tray and remove paper. Where you soaked the spirits into the paper there should be a grubby mark where the feed roller has rubbed and cleaned. Wipe the tray dry and put fresh paper in then hopefully you will now be able to print. If you cannot then the likely thing is that the paper feed pickup spindle is broken and will need replacing.

Hope this helps you and please rate me

SOURCE: printer keeps saying paper jam

we had the same problem at the college where i work. the print queue had somehow clogged up to such a point where the printer was doing this. the constant paper jam light & the printer taking paper when printing test sheets etc. we solved it by deleting the printer & then re-installing the drivers. may not work for everyone, but it certainly worked for us.

SOURCE: lexmark x1270 printer power button blinking won't print

I had the same issue with my Lexmark X1290, I solved it by opening up the device, so the ink cartridges should pop, they didn't so I pressed the power button to switch it off, and then switched it back on (with the device open!) and all the paper flowed out, the flashing stopped and it could print again. Good Luck!

Canon c7055 jammed

if you already checked & opened all the door then probably there is none. try flicking the sensor flag, usually its broken or maybe not moving freely as it should. all in all if you're absolutely sure those flags are ok then most probably its the main pcb's fault.

Brother MFC-9840CDW Tray 1 paper jam

The problem is the spring that is located below the lever right in front of the clear plastic roller has lost its spring. If you remove the spring and stretch it a bit it will resolve the problem.

Jam A,but no paper , 2035

All I can tell you is that there IS paper somewhere in there. It might be the tiniest piece of torn paper that has just managed to get caught in the perfect spot so as to block a jam switch, but there is paper somewhere - I have NEVER found a situation where it wasn't an actual paper jam on one of these machines - but it's way to difficult to give you more advice than that

Incessant "phantom" paper jams.

The only things I can think of which may help would be to clean out the machine completely. Toner dust and small particles can set off paper jam sensors. I would take alcohol & water and clean off every rubber wheel that moves the paper through the machine. Then inspect them one by one for wear. If you have a wheel with a flat side it won't handle paper correctly and the delay in timing will set off paper jams. Over time the rubber on the wheels gets sticky or dull and does not pick up the paper correctly. The software installed on the pc's times the paper processing procedure and when things are not in tuned it will think there must be a paper jam.

The other thing would be to reset the machine & update the software in all pc's that use it as a printer before reconnecting it again.

The reset the machine, disconnect any cables to pc's using it and then turn it off and unplug it from the wall. Press and hold the power button with the power cord disconnected for sixty seconds or so. Then go to each pc that uses it and uninstall the software for the HP. Then go to HP's website (www.hp.com) and download then install the newest version of the software on each computer.

Another thing that causes paper jam sensors to go off is using the wrong kind of copy paper in the machine. If the paper is too light the feeders will throw it through the machine too quick. If its got a smooth texture to it the paper will not be picked up as it it supposed to.

If I were you I would go to the local stationers and purchase a good grade, heavy weight copy paper to use on the machine to rule out that the type of paper being used could be causing the trouble. It may be expensive, but buy a single rheem of really good paper thats made for copiers and remove all of your old paper and reload with the new before reconnecting all pc's again.

After the new paper is loaded and the machine has been cleaned and inspected, and all pc's have the newest version of software installed on them plug the machine into the power source again and run a few test sheets.

If you still get the same problem after all of the above, then I would say its some sort of electrical sensor problem that needs a tech on site to figure out and repair.

Good luck! And let me know if any of the above helps to solve the problem.

Please help with cannon PIXMA MP150 printer problem, when trying to print, It reads that paper is jammed but I've checked several times and no paper is jammed. Printer will not print due to this...

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

Paper jam means their may be small bit paper jam in side
, actually there are some "micro sensors" that detect a paper jam. There will be tiny piece of paper inside those sensors, thus tripping the sensor and paper jammed keeps coming up.
To solve this first of all Open printer cover and check to make sure no paper or foreign objects obstructing the printer feeder
, If you become sure that now really there is no paper, dust or foreign objects then Turn the printer off, and disconnect the AC power-cable. Open the printer cover & now give the printer a "blow-job" by compressed air.
If still problem exist then best & final option is to just contact to any Canon Printers service provider.

I hope this solution helps you

HP Pro 8500 printer has carriage jam. I have opened every door and there is no paper jam.

Sometimes the paper gets caught inside the printer all the way to the right (or left) of the print carriage. You will miss seeing it because the print carriage has moved the jamed paper to the right (or left) out of view. Carefully and manually move the print carriage to the opposite side and you might find small pieces of jammed paper there.

Paper jam

Usually paper jam error message on this machine is either caused by a physical paper jam or a printer error. To distinguish between the two I understand that you have already checked with the printer if there any paper or foreign object but there is none however, just to make sure you have checked everything out, check the left the side to double check. Now there is really nothing that you can see I really means that it is a printer error and that you would need to contact Epson directly to get a replacement. I do not recommend tearing off the printer because that's voids your one-year manufacturers warranty.

Jamming

Hi Scott, My experience is if there was a jam and it still says it's jammed after clearing the paper you missed some. Even if the sheet that caused the last jam didn't tear it may have moved a torn piece of paper that was in there from before. Check again, really well for small pieces of paper stuck somewhere. Hope that helps. If not let me know and I'll see what else we can do. El Duderino
