Question about Vodavi 30-Button XTS Telephone

1 Answer

Set up of replacement Vodavi 5000-00

Our Vodavi 4-port phone router/voicemail model 5000-00 died and we bought a used model on Ebay that appears to work. We want to re-program it with our company information. I don't have instructions for re-recording the attendant message and for programing the directory services (e.g. dial first two letters of last name to be transferred or dial three digit station number)

Could someone point me to an on-line instruction guide or give me a summary?

Thanks
Greg

I need to re-record the directory listing for our phones because people have left and new people have come in. I cannot figure out how to do this. The User Guide just explains how to manually punch in...

It sounds like what you are looking for is to rerecord the AutoAttendant. This is a VoiceMail function, which is a separate card or box connected to the PBX cabinet. Check the manual for your voicemail on how to login as admin, or call the local Vodavi tech for a service call.

CANNOT REMEMBER VOICE MAIL PASSWORD

there should be a reset switch somwhere on the under side of the phone, pressing this switch will unfortunatly erase voicemail and contacts (it goes back to factory settings) then you just need to set your phone up again

Vodavi Telephone System Programming

The best way is to remove the phone line from the phone system and make it go direct to the fax. In the closet with the phone equipment. Find the fax telephone jack. Follow where the wires go(it will goto the phone system 25pr cable). Take the pair of wires off. Find the fax number that comes in from ATT. That is the location where you need to punch down the wires that come from the fax telephone jack. To test goto the fax machine pickup the phone on the side of the fax and call your cell phone to see what the caller ID is. God Bless. Jerry
