Dr-4912 stops recording after 1min and locks

Recorder stops recording after aprox 1min and locks have tried new discs does the same on these. when you do get out of record mode just stays on write disc dvd 14 months old.

I was having this problem too.

After some tests I detect some kind of video images or programs cause the recorder "think" the content is protected and stop the recording in the middle of process.

So I bought a Macrovision remover (like GREX - http://www.xdimax.com/grex/grex.html) and the problem was gone.

You cannot record from the TV as the TV doesn't give an output to the DVD Recorder.

You can only record onto DVDs from an external source such as Freeview, Cable or Satellite Box.

Lg dr4912

fitted a new drive in but it wont play normal dvds.
it recognises +- discs and formats them as it should
just need to work out how to make it play normal dvds.
dont want to pay for advise thanks

LG 4912 using with a new digital TV

in order to solve the complect of channel/ choose one / if tv is digital in line w/dvd is digital.
If your your recorder is analogue choose use analogue channel.
