Re: PS KB .MOUSE PROBLRM
That means you didnot clone the system yourself and it will be difficult for you to fix it. so get USB mouse and keyboard. thats the only solution for now unless you can talk it to a qualified repairer in your area.

Try the keyboard and mouse on anothe system. if it works fine the on board PS2 port is most likely bad. Buy a USB keyboard and mouse in plalace of the PS2 keybaord and mouse or change the motherbord. If the keyboard and mouse is bad replace with a good one.
go to Frys, and get a PS2/USB adapter module, and plug your keyboard and mouse into a USB port. Or get a new one...all the new ones are USB now anyway...no one uses PS2 anymore unless they have a really old computer...and if you do, it's not going to last forever, so be prepared. This sounds like a motherboard issue.
PS2 is usually disabled In the BIOS under ADVANCED or PORTS, but if that option is not available, I suggest you purchase PS2-to-USB adapters, then use your usb mouse and usb keyboard in the ps2 ports. Personally, I love ps2. id rather use USB for my cameras and scanners and drives rather than wasting those ports on a kb and mouse.
Often times this happens when using a USB keyboard / Mouse.
Or when using a USB keyboard through a PS/2 Converter.
Try using a PS/2 Keyboard if available (Small Round connector with a small amount of pins, similar to a S-Video connector.)
Also. Access your BIOS settings and assure that you have Legacy USB keyboard support. Depending on your computer the BIOS / Setup Menu / Options Menu/ Etc. can be accessed by pressing the following key during boot: F1 F2 ESC DEL F12
Let us know your setup(KB and Mouse Port type), and if you have any other issues.
VIA P4XB-M http://www.via.com.tw/download/mainboards/4/11/P4XB-M.pdf 99.0% of motherboards still use PS2 ports. One colored purple for the PS2 keyboard female port, back side of the MB & the other colored light green, female port, back side of the MB PS2 mouse port. By default, most motherboards have the jumper for PS2 keyboard enabled. Location for this two-pin jumper varies from board to board. A USB port looks like this: http://www.rickysays.com/images/usb-port.jpg The PS2 port's are found in the upper left hand corner of this same picture. This next link will show how to connect USB motherboard jumpers including their wire locations. (Standard for most motherboard USB connections).
the best solution is to get USB mouse since PS2 muuse is not working. and if you cloned the system yourself i suggest you take a look at the motherboar and youy will see a jumper labelled on the board PS2 keyboard and Mouse, place the jumper in the next pin. and try and see if it will work.
