Question about Dryers
DRYER ONLY WORKS IF YOU HOLD DOWN THE TIMER BUTTON. DOOR SWITCH IS WORKING PROPERLY. TORE THE ENTIRE THING APART AND REPLACED THE MOTOR, WHICH IS WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS WRONG. HOOKED IT BACK UP AND THE SAME THING IS STILL HAPPENING. CAN USE IT BY DUCT TAPING OR RUBBER BANDING THE SWITCH DOWN. Dryer shuts off after pressing timer/start knob. The dryer will spin and heat, but simply will not remain engaged after pressing the timer/start button. I've checked out the hi-limit T-stat, C-switch at motor, and motor itself. All appear to be ok. there are no electronics associated with this model. So my guess is the timer control. Am I right or is there a more economical solution? Thanks!
