Question about Tomtom GPS
Hi, Most likely cause is a faulty speaker ( quite common ) . if its a tomtom one then it could also be the earphone socket. The socket is also a switch that turns off the internal speaker when a plug is conencted and sometimes the contacts become dirty resulting in crackly sound , no sound or low volume. Cures are 1/ replace speaker . 2/ clean socket. note : people who sell scrap laptop parts often also have speakers out of the laptops . these make a suitable replacement. Check physical sizes though before you purchase anything. One last possible cause is corrupted data on any SD card or internal drive . If you made a backup ( anyone reading this should make a backup NOW ) you could try reinstalling the backup to see if that cures it. ....... GOOD LUCK
