Hello.. i lost the CD for the Belking G router and im wondering how to install it? thanks in advance..

    nevermind, it does opens the web page, but when i click on "use as and access point" on the page it freezes....

    the thing is that when i go to that page... the router say its not connected.. and i thought i had to put it as an access point, so i dont know what to do..

U dont need the cd just hook it to the computer and open internet explorer and type 192.168.2.1 and u can make all ur changes that way

    u dont want it as a ccess point that might be y u cant connect to it i would reset it and make sure it did reset ang u should be able to type 192.168.1.1 to access it if it is reset and connected with the ethernet cable

Install CD of compex NetPassage 26G is lost, what can I do to install without CD? Many thanks in advance for your expertise :)
This router is at least 5 years old, and it does not support the more-secure WPA protocol. On that basis, I would "trash" it.

I checked the COMPEX web-site:

http://www.cpx.com/download.asp

and there is no mention of the '26G', although the '27G' is listed as a "legacy" product.

So, spare yourself a lot of wasted time -- go to the nearest "Boxing Day/Week" big-box store, and buy a new router, with new features, like 'Wireless N' and 'WPA2' support, and install it.

Lost the install CD
hi,
it should be an ip conflict.I believe you are using both routers at same time which can give same ip address (as both routers ip range is same).hence by disconnecting one router(from network/power) will make your ip conflict resolved.
secondly there is no need of linksys installation cd as it will do more harm than good.routers dont need any software to run where as network adapters need drivers.if you have any further doubts ,you can directly post it.

The light of internet is orange,not yellow.
The router should have reset button on the back. This will reset it to factory defaults. If you have an ISP that gives you internet without a username and password like rogers then you should be good to go. If your ISP is like Bell then you will need to get into the website of the router and configure it.

Input of incorrect WEP settings on notebook
There are 2 things you can do. One is to connect the router to the notebook via ethernet cable. You will then be able to enter the router's page by typing 192.168.2.1. The other option is to reset the router to its default factory settings. This is done by pressing the reset button on the back of the router and hold it down for 30 seconds with power still on.
