Question about Canon BJC 80 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer problem hi i recently got a new computer with windows xp instead of my previous windows millennium setup. i had a cannon i250 printer which worked on my old computer but wouldn't print out the correct colours on my new computer, eg anything green is coming out blue and the red is coming out a strange shade of pink. i thought it was the printer so i have now installed a new printer, a canon bjc 80. when i printed off a document the same thing is happening. the green is still coming out blue etc. is there anything i can change to rectify this problem cos i am sure it is not the printers fault it must be something else. any help would be most appreciated. ps i have not got the manufacturers original loading disc for the bjc 80 and the i250 printer is thrown away. thanks tim

Re: printer problem

Here is the link for the driver download for the i250 for xp (hope you didn't mean you threw the printer itself away) Here is the link for the bjc 80 scanning driver for xp; but unfortunately canon does not seem to have a driver for printing in xp for the bjc80, it doesn't seem to be compatible - contact canon and they might have plans to release an xp driver this link has dos drivers for the bcj80; Hope this helps - other option would be to go back to windows me/2000 or get an xp capable printer - if you get a new one make sure it can deal with windows vista as well in case you upgrade in the future :)

I have a new dell computer with Vista and I have a i70 printer for windows XP how can I setup for Vista??

sometimes you can...turn off both the printer and the computer. Then make sure the printer is plugged into the computer. Once it is. Turn on the printer and then turn on the computer. Go to add printer on your computer and select add. The wizzard will walk you through. If that doesn't work then go to the company online and see if they have an updated download for your printer and vista

Re-install i250 printer

Go here. It takes a few seconds to load everything. In the 'Select OS' box, select Window Me. After a few more seconds, you should see the driver files you need to make your printer work with your computer.
