Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

My HP Photosmart Pro B8350 printer, purchased in June,'07 with a three year warrenty, has operated great until recently. Now, when directed to print, the on button green light blinks as before for a minute or two, but instead of printing, it simply stops blinking and stays solid as when in the "on" mode. I use it only for 11 x 17 paper, and the same drawings will print on another printer in 8 1/2 x 11. I have tried unplugging the printer to allow it to reset to no avail. Please help. You should try cleaning the pick up roller. It may be your paper has quite a dusty surface and this will cling to the pick up roller making it less grippy. When the paper is fed it may not make the first sensor in the expected time and thus creates the error. Get a service manual to show you how to get a t the pick up roiller so you can remove and clean it. You can get Platen Cleaner from many web sites and it is specifically formulated to regain friction os such rollers. This is a widely known problem with this printer and means the formatter board needs to be replaced. Save yourself the cost and headache of repairing and move on. The problem initially began as a random situation where I would have to turn the printer off and back on to get it to print.This eventually progressed to the problem you all are reporting which is the amber toner and jam lights on. I replaced the formatter board on mine and after one month the problem returned with the new formatter board needing replaced as well.

Of course, HP acts as if they've never heard of the problem. This company's integrity and quality has gone from number 1 to dead last.

Do a hard reset on the printer and uninstall/reinstall all of the software that came with unit and see if that does the trick.

If that does not resolve the issue then you have a hardware problem.

I have three computers on my home network. Can no longer print.


Check out the Ip Address of the printer and try to ping it from all the computers, I am sure there is a communication problem between computer and printer

Does the c7280 use seperate Magenta and PhotoMagenta cartridges? If so make certain the right cartridge is in the correct slot.

When I print a photo there is streaking on the photo paper. How do I clean the printer which is what I think is the problem? Thank you for your time.


Hi,
Remove the cartridge outside look for the place where ink is dispensed If you find any dust on clean with a tissue paper and replace it.  If you don't find any dust on it clean the roller.  Then take a test print.

Brazilian regionalization zone code???


To change the region there is a special report to be printed from the printer from which some numbers are to be taken which belong to the printers firmware these numbers are to be given to HP they ll run an algorithm on it and then it can be regionalized... one printer can only change a region 3 times....


Try

1. Press Setup until Preferences appears, and then press OK.
2. Press until Set Language & Country/Region appears, and then press OK.
You are prompted with a list of languages. You can scroll through the list of
languages by pressing or .
3. Press OK on the appropriate language.
4. When prompted, press OK to select Yes or Cancel to select No.
You are prompted with a list of countries/regions for the selected language.
5. Press to select the appropriate country/region, and then press OK.
6. When prompted, press to select Yes or No, and then press OK.
You can confirm the language and country/region by printing a Self-Test Report,
as follows:
1. Press Setup until Print Report appears, and then press OK.
2. Press until Self-Test Report appears, and then press OK

HP Photosmart B8350 Printing problems


I have the exact same problem in the UK. They fixed it once via altering some settings in Windows and now the problem is back. I believe its caused by Windows updates. I really wish I could remember what they told me to do last time.
