Question about Compaq iPAQ MP2810 Multimedia Projector
This projector has an extension piece attached through DVI-D connector at the rear side on which there is a RCA, S-Video connector, this extension can be released/attached to back side of the projector, in addition to standard VGA 15-pin connector which is fixed to the backside body of the projector, I am always getting a message "check signal cable" when trying to connect the projector to the computer, no menu shows-up, when using the RCA connector to connect to a TV it display horizontal lines as scramble, but still I can see the menu options, any suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated.

hi all... i have this projector and it boosts up flashes the blue screen and sometimes the projected image too. then goes to standby mode.
I have managed to keep it going enough to see the problem for myself. Here is what i did.. lye the projector on its left side while a cool blower blows through the left side of the lamp housing. fire it up and it will stay on. I went to the menu and did a factory reset as well as lamp hours reset. checked the lamp hours and it was at zero. so its never going to stay on for long for one reason.
As the lamps get older the emit more heat and therefore cause the unit to shutdown. so if you want it to work your going to have to order that lamp. The cheapest i found is from austrailia link off ebay below.
last link is for the manual found in this forum but not clear on how to get it.
Hope you get a good result bulb on order.
vote me happy
