Question about Apple iPod nano

Music wont show on Ipod, but does on Itunes

I have a 2GB mini-ipod and have a lot of music downloaded that DOES show up on itunes and the boxes ARE checked on itunes, also. but for some reason.. a lot of it wont show up on my ipod so I can't listen to it. I don't know if I can fix that or I just need to keep testing my luck by downloading the music and keep on trying to find the right file to use for my ipod. It's really annoying me. I'll have like 10 songs from a band, and then only 3 show up. Help! Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Please make sure that your music is in the proper format. It is best if it is in MP3 format. You can tell what format the music is in by right clicking on the music file and then clicking 'properties'. You can convert the files to MP3 by using the Media Player that comes with all windows computers. Hope that helps.

1. Download iTunes from http://apple.com/itunes. iTunes is used to manage your music library, as well as handle the transfer of music from your computer to the iPod. 2. Install iTunes. 3. Add music to your iTunes library by selecting the 'File' menu at the top of the screen, then clicking 'Add music to library'. Browse your computer for music files and click 'Choose' in the dialog box. 4. Hi. i have an ipod mini which is synced to my windows xp system but i'd like to download the music to my mac laptop - OS10. can someone please let me know how to do this ? thanks

Hi,

Syncing the music to the mac OS10 is much easy please follow the steps below:

Syncing music and podcasts automatically Connect iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Select iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window

In the main iTunes browser window, select the Music tab.
Select the option to Sync Music.

You have the option to sync all songs and playlists or selected playlists. Your iPod will need to have enough free space to sync the content that you have selected from your library. Tip: You can use the capacity bar at the bottom of the iPod settings window to determine how much free space is available. The size of a playlist can be determined by selecting it and looking at the bottom of the iTunes window.

Podcasts can also be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Podcasts tab and choose to sync all podcasts or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent, new, or unplayed

Click Apply and iTunes will begin syncing the audio content you've selected to your iPod. The iTunes LCD will display the sync progress and notify you when the iPod sync is complete

  1. To disconnect your iPod, select it under Devices and click the eject icon next to it.
Syncing music manually If you prefer not to automatically sync music content to your iPod, you can set up manual syncing.

Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Select iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window

75b22af.jpg
In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
Select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music." This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting those options in each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting it from your computer
Click Apply.

To manually add music, audiobooks, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under Library on the top-left of the iTunes window.

Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon under Devices.

To add a playlist, select it from the left side of the iTunes window and drag it onto your iPod in the same way.

Cant get music on Ipod

Apple, the maker of the Ipod, requires you to use "iTunes" software to upload, transfer, and buy songs for your iPod mini. The software installation cd should come with your iPod, if not, you can download it at www.apple.com then going to downloads.

Hope this helps, have a great day! ^_^

How can i transfer music from my PC to my ipod

When it comes to transferring music from computer to iPod, iTunes is always the first choice for most of iPod users. As the official transfer tool, iTunes can help you to transfer music to iPod easily. The next guidance will show you how to transfer music from computer to iPod with iTunes.
  1. Connect your iPod to PC via matched USB cable. Then click the iPod icon on the left corner of the interface. To manage your media files manually, you'd better go to "Options" under "Summary" tab, cancel "Automatically sync when this iPod is connected" and check "Manually manage music and videos". Don't forget to click "Apply" when it's done.
  2. Import music into iTunes library from computer by clicking "File" and then "Add File to Library". Once transferred successfully, you can select the music icon on top to see all the songs.
  3. Click "Music" under "Settings" tab. Choose "Sync Music". You can either sync entire music library or selected playlists as you like. Then click "Sync" button at the bottom to transfer music from computer to iPod.
