In order to have the fan come on by itself you need a minimum of 3 wires from the thermostat to the furnace. If you have no A/C you probably have 2. Steve

You could use only 2 wires, R and G terms all you would get is blower fan. so on stat make sure you connect to R and G also. also did it have a fresh air return and you miss hooking up those wires, i have seen that before.

If it makes the noise before the blower comes on it would be the exhaust fan. If it makes the noise when the blower comes on then I would say either the blower motor or bearings to the fan.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

well its best to let the low fan do the humidity work, and not the high.. you did not provide the model of the goodman, but you ether went direct to the heater control card, to the humidity connection . or wired to the low side call contacts. you can hook the humidifier to the high fan speed contacts

I have a builder installed Goodman GDS80904BHA that is approximately 5 years old. Recently, when the furnace completes a heat cycle, approximately 1-2 minutes after the cycle has completed and after the...

I would guess that the fan off setting on your limit is set a little to high. If you have the manual you can see what it says about changing the running time for the fan after the burner has shut off look on the control board and you should see two switches, one to set the time for burners to fire before main blower starts and one to set time for fan to run after burners shut off. To help with the problem you are describing set fan run time up so fan wii run longer. Hope this helps. Thaks.

Blower will not shut off

That has to be in the board OR you might have the thermostat set to manual instead of auto. If you suspect the board remove the red wire from the motor to the board and see if the fan quits.

Is there a thermal Fan/Limit switch in this furnace? If so you may need to tweak the low range setting so it can turn off the blower.

I HAVE A USED GOODMAN GMS8 FURNACE I HAD INSTALL IN MY HOUSE WITH AIR THE PROBLEM I'M HAVING IS THE BLOWER RUNS ALL THE TIME KNOW WHAT ???? HELP ME PLEASE

Check your themostat. The fan switch may be in the on position and not in the auto. If that is not the problem, try turning the power off to the furnace, wait 1 minute and turn the power on. It may have went into a lock-out which causes the blower to run.

Goodman furnace\ blower comes on,unasked

Sounds like the fan switch on the furnace is set to low. Turn power off to furnace, take door off of furnace look for a fan switch, it may be a fan - limit together. The limit settings should be approximately 160° to 200°, and the fan settings should be about 100° to 140° set it to 120° it it's already set there then you probably need to replace it.

Fan and heater run fine but fan does not shut off for a long time

Check the diagnostic indicator.
1. If the blower runs for hours make sure the fan switch on the thermostat is set on "auto".
2. The furnace safety system must be in lockout. This is the furaces way of telling you there is a problem.
3 Most common problem is a dirty flame sensor.

Blower starts ans stops

Your system has a number of blowers and fans. Are you refering to the "Room Air Blower"? If so, at what point does it start? 30 seconds after you turn the air on, 1 minute, etc...? Does it ever come back on? The more you help us with information, the more we can help you!
