Right, you need to click
>Start
>Computer

>Toshiba
>Drivers
>WLAN
>Realtek
Then find a file called Setup, there may be several. You are looking for the one which is an Application. Mine is around 450kb in size.
Double click it to correctly install the Wireless adapter.
Follow the instructions on screen. This should take no more than 90 seconds from start to finish.

SOURCE: Lan connection not working on Toshiba satellite laptop

Try setting up a new Broadband internet connection. Input all the appropriate Login info and you ought to be good to go via the LAN port. Everything else is aimed towards Wireless.

I am trying to connect my toshiba a15-5129 in my house it will not connect to broadband

Hi, we have two ways to connect to broadband, via wired or wireless, at the device manager please do check if the LAN drivers are enabled, if enabled, via wired connection, simply put the RJ45 jack from LAN port of your router to LAN port of your notebook, if configuration is already set in your Router LAN, it will just automatically connect. If connecting via wireless press wifi button to activate wifi connection then windows will pop for your access credentials. simply put the password for your connection once the name of the site displayed.

Check the UTP cable or the lan cable.
Check the RJ45.

Check for antivirus firewall.

It connects to wireless but the lan dose not show up and it won't hard line in. how can i get the lan to work?

To use the RJ45 connector on your laptop, you must tell Windows to use it versus the WiFi. Set up internet access via Broadband and that should get you going the way you want to.

The switch for most toshiba satellites is on the right side of laptop. it is a small slide switch. on others It is a small circular button on the front of the unit below and to the right of where the pad is.
