My 8 yr old daughter thru the remote and broke the screen on my 32in LG lcd tv. All black now, looks like broken glass on left side. Can it be repaired for less than new?


your lcd panel is bad most of the time that is the most expensive part on the tv. cost on a 32inch lcd panel is 650.00 not including labor . this lg panel is not aviable now.sorry.

If the screen is broken then yes, it will and can make odd noises. Your cost on replacing a plasma screen will go beyond just purchasing a replacement television.

Thanks for the picture - that's a big help.
It looks you have the dreaded light tunnel collapse common to all LG1.gif DLP TV's. Inside the light engine there is a square tube made up of four mirrors. These mirrors deform and crack with the heat of the lamp. They fall down over the light aperture and cause a shadow of varying degrees. It is fixable now at a realistic price ( used to have to replace engine) as LG have made the parts available. It would take a competent tech around three hours to complete or if you are technically minded you could do it yourself. I hope this helps.

TV doesn't turn on


I bought a LG 39" flat screen 6 months ago. TV has been working great until this morning. Power comes on for about 5 seconds and then cuts off. Have checked all connections and have unplugged from wall to reset, NOTHING!! And a brand new TV!! Any help would be great!

The Hitachi part number for the screen assembly for the 60DX10B is KR01223 and can be ordered from a Hitachi distributor if is still available, but I warn you it is not cheap!
