whats the problem? laptops only have 1 main channel out which is either 2.0 or 2.1 (2.1 is the same as 2.0 except it has a spatializer for the sub)

but what exactly is the issue you are encountering?

no audio? or audio coming from the wrong speakers? there is a dual headphone adapter you can buy to use whole set on your laptop

Built- in speakers crackling sound

1. This can happen if you have played something with a lot of bass and the speakers are now damaged. The speakers might need replacing.
2. It could be that the speakers aren't that good in the first place.
3. Try updating the drivers on your computer for the speakers
4. There could be a connection problem within the laptop where the wires are not properly inserted into the motherboard.
Hope this helps.

There is no real way to connect for true 4.1 stereo on a portable. You can get a Y adapter at Radio shack and then be able to make the other connection though.

Connecting a car stereo to an amplifier

you have to connect your 4 speakers to 4 speakers output direct to your car stereo no need of amplifier to 4 speaker but speakers should be small not like a woofer, and you have to connect your sub woofer by using amplifier don't connect direct. connect the output of your car stereo (using 2 RCA) to the 2 RCA inputs of amplifier. If u connect your 4 speakers to your amplifier then your car stereo does not support Left Right channel.
You can also connect your laptop or iPod direct to your amplifier.
Good Luck
enjoy music

How do i connect to laptop? i can only hear 2 of 4!

If your laptop hasn't a 5.1 surround card you can't connect them in a true 5.1 surround system way. But if you have a stereo sound card and if you don't care about true multichannel and want just to hear sound from all the speakers you neet to connect the adapter that came along with your speaker set-just plug and match the colors from the speaker plugs with the adapter and buy a jack stereo to 2 rca cable and plug the rca connectors to the adapter and plug the stereo jack to you laptop.

Connecting SRS-BTM30 bluetooth speakers to my vista laptop

Hi,
This has also been sending me around the bend. I resolved it by disabling the speakers on my laptop. To do this go into control panel, then hardware and sound, then change system sound. Select your speakers and disable them. This allowed me to play music through the speakers. You can also re-enable the laptop speakers after this.
