Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Nintendo will fix the hinges depending on a few things, first thing would be to determine how the hinges were broken. The hinges are tested before they leave the factory, the only way that they actually break would be because of physical damage/impact. Physical damage is not covered under the manufact warranty so you would get a discounted price depending on if your under warranty or not. Regardless giving them a call and having their techs fix them will be the best bet, not only because you know it will be fixed right and your warranty will start over the day it gets repaired.

You can buy the hinge off ebay but ive heard it is really fiddly to do.
i would personally send it off but i would phone them first to see how much its going to cost to get repaired and go from there

I have black base plates to repair broken hinges with, what color is your ds I may have the top plate as well. what part of the hinge is broken?
I will replace either one for $24 and get you ds running again.
be carefull not to open and close it too much because if you pinch the ribbon cable for the top screen you have to put a whole new screen in it, I have been there.
