Question about Televison & Video
I am in Kuwait and I have purchased in the year 1995 one Sharp Colour Television Model 21D-ME which worked fine without any problems.
Recently after puttin it on it goes automatically off after sometime or whenever one advertisement appears and goes on Standby mode (Red Light). I have to put if off again and again if I have to watch a program.
I have shown to may TV repair technicians who are unable to solve the problem.
Can you advise me as to which parts we have to replace on this TV?
This is a Power Supply ( or otherwise known as a Regulator). In Australia, it is a very expensive item to replace and costs more than a new TV. You would have to check out the price locally. But you WILL need exactly the same regulator as is in the set. Show this to your repairman, so he knows which part to order, but ask him to get a price FIRST, in case it is too expensive. And don't forget to rate my answer.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
