Cannot recieve faxes (by 7 users)

when people try to fax me the fax does not come through. my answering machine is set on 5 rings, my voice mail is set on 4 rings and the fax is set on 3 rings. I have been on the phone with lexmark tech support. we set the all in one printer back to factory settings and the tech sent me a test fax. When my sister tried to send me a fax it did not work.I can send a fax but not receive a fax

I have the same problem.

Yes, I have the same problem with the x8350 I purchased late last year. Also I have another big problem when copying. The machine makes lots of noise and quits printing until I turn it off and then on again. Soon I have the same problem continuing.

I have the same problem. I have followed the directions to the letter. I have no problem sending but cannot receive.

same problem. I can send faxes fine, but cannot receive properly. I have an answering machine set to 5 rings, and fax set to pick up after 3 rings.

I just spoke with customer service live chat.
-press the "Fax Mode" button
-press the menu button
-The Fax menu screen will be displayed
-press down arrow button 5 times until the screen displays "Ringing and Answering."
-press the select button
-the display will show the "Ringing and Answering menu
-press down arrow button 4 times untip "Pick-up On?" is highlighted
-press the right arrow button 2 times until the screen displays "1st ring"
-press the "select" button and now "1st ring" will be set as the default.

Read the manual Page 95. What I want to know is how to make it pick up on more than 5 rings. The X8350 presets max out at 5 rings, not enough time if you have 2 story office and an answering machine in the loop.
