I am using this system for the last 3 years without any issues. After 1 month, I again reconnected with 3 speakers (Centre/FR and FL) alone and tried to use the Home Theatre. The Tuner for FM and AM are working fine. But in DVD mode, when I tried to open the tray, it is not opening at all both through Remote and Manually as well. I removed all the connections and reconnected with the 3 speakers again and tried the same thing. But the same problem exists.
Can anyone suggest me what I need to do now?

1)just open the player 2)remove the rubber belt connecting the dc motor 3)you
can open the disc tray now 4)if there are any dust particles or obstacles in the door way just clear them up by using the cloth(dry cloth preferred) 5)if you have any greasy material like vaseline, oil, etc then just put that in the door for easy movement of the disc tray
6)if needed change the rubber belt which is connecting the dc motor 7) just reconnect the rubber belt again and then just
fit all screws that s all

It means that there's a misaligned disk inside. You need to
1. Unplug it and shake it side-to-side. 2. Then turn it on and press the open/close. 3. If it doesn't open, goto step 1. 4. When it opens, get the disks out, use disk exchange to try to get them all out. 5. Turn it off, unplug it, shake it again and make sure that there isn't another loose disk, if there is, then open it and get it out.
This is a known flaw in certain Panasonic DVD changers. Good luck
I've just spent the last 3 nights trying to fix that same issue with my
player. I ended up pulling out the dvd tray assembly, and making sure
there wasn't anything broken inside or obstructing other pieces. Come
to find out, my 1 year old had pulled on one of the trays and it pulled
the tray off it's tracks. After that, it would just go to "init please wait"
forever. I pulled the side track cover off and aligned the tracks
manually. Everything had to be absolutely perfect or else you'd get
nothing. After the fact, I realized that there were two holes in the
bottom of the player that you can take a spare small gear (which is attached to the plastic cover on top of the dvd tray assembly)
and stick it in there and manually adjust the tray positions to make
sure everything is aligned properly. After messing with it three days,
it ended up being quite simple to fix. Everything works like a charm
now. If you need details, feel free to email me. [email protected]
To open the tray this is not a perfect fix, but it will allow to use it.
After the unit is powered on:
1)Hit the "Open/Close" button
2)Wait a while (you will get the timing down with practice)
3)Tap gently, yet briskly with fingertips at area in the attached pic, that the red arrow points to
I think the problem is that the tray becomes unbalanced somehow. Because when a DVD is in, the drive opens fine, only when there is no disc do you have to tap on the unit.
