Question about JVC GR-D73AG Mini DV Digital Camcorder
My Camcoder have have a problem of not showing the image. When I open the LCD screen or view through the viewfinder the messge "LENS CAPE" will blink for a few seonds and then dispear. This comes on despite the fact that the lens cape is open. In this situation it records on the sound, no image. I'm wondering what could be the cause. The camera was not in use for almost one year. The playback function it has no problem. I will appreciate your help Best Regards Tuma
Apparently this same problem exists on many different models. I have a JVC grd72u. I called JVC @ 800-252-5722. I selected the "Corrective Action Program" prompt from the automated attendent. I spoke to a customer service rep. They are aware of the problem and are fixing it for free, but only until 12/31/07. I suggest you call ASAP and get your name in the computer. If the problem is something besides the CCD sensor, they will call you with the estimate to repair.
