My satelite r15-s829 tablet laptop battery went aprox 10 days without a charge while shut off. Saturday I received a new ac adaptor, upon plugging it into the laptop an amber light in plug in icon on the face of the computer began to blink and has for nearly 2 days. The computer will not turn on now. Any helpfull advice

Remove the battery. Does the notebook work without the battery (ac only)? Also, you say you received a new ac adapter. What happened to the old adapter? Are you sure the old ac adapter failed? Is it possible the problem was the battery or maybe the charging circuitry on the main board and not the ac adapter?

This appears to be a problem with the ac charger its saying that ur charger is underpowered and cannot charge ur laptop take a look at ur older charger and buy the same brand and that should help out its a common problem that pops up for some that replace failed chargers

SOURCE: doesn't turn on unless plugged into ac adaptor

You may have to replace the battery or it's possible there's a short circuit on the battery line that's why it's not charging.

I have a new e627 used only once before today. Battery connection was partially out and screen indicated low battery. After five minutes screen went black and now I cannot power up.

Maybe your battery is totally drained.

Try to connect the AC adaptor of your laptop and plug it to the wall outlet and let it charge for 3 hours or more. When you plug it on the wall socket, it won't show the laptop's led blinking since it was totally drained. But after 3 minutes or more, it will start to show the blinking led to indicate charging. When blinking stops led light disappears, it is fully charged and ready to use.

Remember: Do not use your laptop while it is plugged in to save your battery life. When at home, remove the battery while it is fully charged and plug the AC adaptor directly to the wall outlet. It will still work without the battery as long as it is plugged directly to the wall socket.

try unplugging the laptop.... turn the power off... take the battery out ... insert the battery ... turn the laptop back on and plug it in.... make sure you have the battery snug... If this doesn't work you can take the battery into a battery plus store for testing ... it might be that your battery is shot... these things happen

You can call (800) 457-7777 and get a new set. I see Toshiba has bumped the shipping and handling to $24.95 standard, $29.95 next day. Have your serial number and a credit card handy.

Computer won't start

Try this; Disconnect from the AC outlet rmove the dc plug from the jack. Remove the Battery and wait for 5 mins and plug in the AC-DC adaptor without the battery. If the Laptop runs, then wait for the Windows to totally boot up and while running try to put back the battery and observe if it still charges. If it still won't boot up repeat the procedure and before connecting the power remove the memory modules first and install 1 memory at a time. Also, if you can find your way to where the CMOS Battery is, I suggest disconnect it for about 10 to 15 mins. while Battery, memory, AC source are also disconnected.

Hope this helps.
