The .psd format will open only in Photoshop . Try saving a new file and reopening it if you still face the same problem then you need to reinstall Photoshop

Folder Corrupt and Trying to Install Adobe Photoshop Elements 9

First variant you may use if your .psd file was seriously damaged

Second solutions are showed as knowledge bases about Adobe Photoshop

Third one is a guide from Adobe

·Open "My Computer." In Windows XP, the icon is on the desktop. In Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must access this via the "Computer" option in the Start menu.
·Double-click the "C" drive, followed by the "Windows" folder inside. Locate the temporary Photoshop folder, which will look similar to this: "Photoshop Temp6382948398." Double-click the folder when you find it.
·Locate the file inside the temporary folder that matches the name of the corrupted file. Double-click it to open it in Photoshop.
· Click "Save As" in the "File" portion of the main menu bar. Save it in a different location and under a different name

Psd corrupted!!? (Layers Gone)

I don't think I've ever seen a PSD file corrupted on disk myself. Often it's a sign of system instability. Did you have a crash or power failure while it was saving (keeping in mind that it may appear to finish before it's actually all the way saved to disk)?

Are your disk hardware and file system healthy? Look in your event logs for any indications of failures.

Try some repair tool:
PSD Repair Kit is the ultimate Adobe PSD repair tool that is a must-have for any digital artist, photographer or other professional working with numerous PSD files.

Use a PDF maker, like Adobe Acrobat Pro. I assume the psd file is an Adobe Photoshop file. Perhaps there are even other "free" PDF program m's.

The best way would be to save the psd files in Photoshop as a jpeg first, because lots of other programs could convert this to PDFs.

I can't print due to internal error: bad record index 8901:20515

I agree with DCS13 it's a links problem. Maybe not so much one that is missing but one that is incompatible. PageMaker was a PostScript Level2 application, and as most Adobe (owners of PostScript) apps are Level3 since about 2001/2 most generically made items containing postscript (.eps, .pdf, .psd) will likely have problems printing to a postscript device. I assume you're using this for work purposes as if you were a home user it would be most unlikely you have a PostScript printer - unless you're trying to make a PDF of the file.
There's a couple of solutions, all involve removing the incompatible postscript language of your placed images. IF an image/file was supplied to you and it's the culprit, have the supplier remake the artwork at a Level2 postscript (or if it's a PDF a version 4 compatible PDF - Acrobat v1.3); if it's not supplied and maybe clipart or a web image, take it into Illustrator or Photoshop and save it as a relevent file type - be aware of rasterising type if it contains text and try and keep to a high resolution.
It's been some time since you've posted this, so an update would be good - how did you go?

**.The best way to acknowledge contribution is to rate it's relevance.**

You probably need to flatten the image to get it into a background layer only. Choose in menu: Layer/Flatten image then try to save your image.

If it didn't work, then most likely your image is in 16 bits/channel mode, change it to 8 bits/channel. Choose in menu: Image/Mode/8 bits/channel.

Photoshop CS3 Error

I've never heard of this, unless the user is saving to a PDF format. Have you tried saving a Photoshop document in a different format? Photoshop files are: PSD's or PDD's. I have only ever seen 'presets' in PDF format. In CS3, these are set by selecting: Edit> Adobe PDF Presets.
