That said, it doesn't appear the driver's obviously available. Can you click Start: Run and type devmgmt.msc or Start: in the search box at the bottom, devmgmt.msc? Find your Web cam in the list of devices and tell us what webcam it actually is -- brand X model YYY

- Download appropriate driver for the webcam( Windows xp, Vista) from the website of your preferred webcam.
- uninstall old webcam driver.

- Install the newwebcam..
